Every time I have come here to pick a prescription it's a long line and then the prescription is not ready even after getting a notification saying it is ready. Will not use this Walgreens again. I rather travel to Walgreens at Northwestern hospital

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and disappointment regarding the way I was treated by the pharmacy technician, Yazzin, on duty at Walgreens on August 2nd. His behavior was not only unprofessional, but aggressively dismissive in a way that was both shocking and disheartening especially considering the respectful, calm, and clear manner in which I approached him.
It’s incredibly disturbing to reflect on the interaction and realize that had I, as a Black man, spoken to anyone the way he spoke to me, the consequences would have been swift and severe. Yet he spoke to me with open hostility, gaslighting my concerns, and showing no regard for my experience as a long-standing customer seeking essential medical supplies.
I will not forget his words:
“It’s too many boxes back there, I’m not going through them. I’m not responsible for someone else not notifying you or doing their job. There are other people waiting, I’m not going to sit here with you. If you have a problem, go get the manager.”
These words weren’t just dismissive, they were demeaning. I was there to pick up a prescription for 1ml syringes that my doctor originally prescribed nearly a month ago. Instead, I was pressured to accept 3ml syringes with needles, which are not what was prescribed. I declined, as this substitution was not covered by insurance due to timing issues with the needle heads included in the 3ml package something I clearly explained.
It’s incredibly frustrating to know that my doctor had to send the prescription again, after the original was not filled, only for me to be told the item was out of stock. I was reassured it would be available in an hour yet when I arrived, it still wasn’t there. Instead of accountability, I was met with dismissive, rude treatment and offered a substitute that was both inappropriate and unusable.
Being handed something I didn’t need, with no explanation or empathy like being tossed a bone was deeply humiliating. To be told I now had to wait even longer due to insurance timing, without any concern for the delay Walgreens had already caused, was infuriating.
This experience has left me feeling not only disrespected, but devalued as a customer and as a human being. I expected professionalism and compassion what I received was indifference and mistreatment.

The pharmacist, Mark, has refused the medication pick-up to an elderly customer who does not speak English. He also refused the pick-up while on the phone with an English-speaking family member. Apparently, the elderly customer’s insurance provider BCBS offers free interpreter services at pharmacies: “BCBS offers free interpreter services to help you communicate effectively with your pharmacy regarding your health or drug plan.” Please make the pharmacy personnel aware of these plans. Except for this inexperienced treatment by Mark, other pharmacists are always friendly and helpful.

Wonderful experience I've never came and didn't have a prescription ready to go

The staff I have interacted with have been very helpful and kind. Unfortunately, this is the slowest pharmacy I've ever interacted with. It seems like it takes a solid 3/4 days to get anything filled, or maybe they just don't fill anything over the weekend?

Inexperienced staff with short tempers. Blatantly lied about having a medication in stock on the phone
