Just went into this place and wasn’t told by Oscar the store manager that Walgreens new rules are that costumers can’t make more that’s one transaction a day you can only go to Walgreens ones a day i even record him saying that. Really bad costumers service at this location.

This is an overall good store at a good location. The pharmacy staff is very professional unlike the head of the CVS pharmacy staff from which I transferred over several years ago. Other store associates are friendly and helpful. What keeps me from giving this store 5 stars is that the last several years has brought about a hub of panhandlers in the parking lot and near the entrance/exit asking for money both when you enter and leave the store. They seem to work in shifts as there is never more than one at a time, but the faces are all very familiar. I don't see this at other Walgreens stores in this neighborhood nor do I see it at the Cermak produce store just down the street nor the CVS on Kimball/Montrose so I'm led to believe management does not seem to want to do anything about it. I have stopped going to other retailers where panhandlers habitually hang out near the store entrances. But with a pharmacy where you and all your family members have your prescriptions it becomes more than a hassle to switch to another, not to mention the loss of familiarity of staff members. When I go to pick up our meds I don't even usually have to say my name as I am recognized by long-time associates. Thus, I don't really wish to transfer to another pharmacy. I don't mind the occasional person asking for some change outside a store, but these individuals have camped out at this particular location and are there on back-to-back days week in and week out. The term 'professional panhandler' comes to mind. And when it's warmer out a rather large group hangs out at the far southern end of the additional parking lot just slightly farther east on Montrose. I go to this store to pick up prescriptions 99% of the time so I don't care to be solicited for money going in or out. I don't know why this is allowed to continue these last several years.

I just got out of the hospital today after having a csection. My husband dropped off my medication and was told by the gentleman in the drive through window my medication would be ready in an hour and was provided the quote of the cost. My husband has been picking up my medication for over 10 years without issue within each state we have ever lived in. Today he's being accused of not being on the account when he's never been removed by me. He was told he had to provide my I'd rather than being asked the typical questions to validate the pick up if medication. After having me come out of the house suffering in pain from my classic stitch, the gentleman accuses my id of being invalid refusing release of my paid medications. We have lived in this area for a year and have been picking up medication for each other with no issues until today. I am being denied the pain medication prescribed by my doctor to help with my healing process. At no time has it been explained to us if there was a change in policy. It comes across as racial discrimination at its finest. It is a poor unethical representation of Walgreens and I am happy to discuss more in depth with corporate if needed.

The Kedzie/Montrose "WALGREENS" was such a ease in RX process. Fast. Friendly, accurate, and on time. Even gave me a heads up alert that they would be closed 30mins for the daily lunch break. Without me even inquiring on it. Which was helpful being a Sunday. Public transportation can be 30 min between stops. And the best part was when everything on my receipt from front end of store also came up with no issues! Sale items correct amount. Card coupon prices applied effortlessly. Long lines took care of by floor/other dept workers quickly. Now, that's what I'm talk N bout!!

The girl at the pharmacy didn't know what she was doing. I waited in the drive thru for 20 minutes while she figured it out. And after all that she still said she didn't know and i should come inside because now there was a line it wasn't my fault tho so i had to call my normal Walgreens to call them to explain and the only issue was a married name verse a madden name WOW REALLY..

Review is for the cashiers. The two guys checking people out were awesome: lighthearted, friendly, funny, efficient. Have never experienced that interacting with ANY Chicago cashier. Way to spread the sunshine!
