I am speaking of my experience with the vaccination I had here. I cannot speak to the quality of the other functions or the pharmacist.
Waited 30 minutes from the time I checked in at noon. There seemed to be no queue so inquired about the ETA. Was told they have gone for lunch. I apologized that I wasn't aware of the lunch hours. Was told this location has not lunch break. But saw 2 people leave and return in 20 minutes with open plates of food they took into the back office through the patient waiting area. 10 minutes later, a different person who was always inside took me to provide the vaccine service.
Just don't have a good feeling about the place as far as vaccination is concerned. It was startling to see employees hauling open roast beef sandwich plates into the pharmacy through the patient waiting area. I don't mind other Walgreen locations advertising their closure and shuttering for lunch and proper policiws and procedures.

Thi9s the best pharmacy Ive ever gone to. I've great communications with both Mario and Sarah,,the two head pharmacists all medicine I'd ordered and prepared promptly. N3 er a problem.

The pharmacy staff are so rude, don’t even bother calling them. Just use the Walgreens down the street and save yourself the headache. They decided to make me feel bad by saying that the medication that I needed was too expensive. When I ask them, what expensive is they said $100. Assuming that I am broke and cannot afford that lol that is not even that much. It’s incredibly disrespectful for them to judge a person And then judge their income based on what they look like.

There are one or two bad apples at this Walgreens who aren't professional. HOWEVER, this Walgreens still gets 5-stars because when I was in a really bad place without insurance, they helped make my medicine affordable. I don't know what I would have done without that. Words cannot express how much I appreciated that, and how thankful I still am ?❤️ The donations to Howard Brown that help pay for that are really helping a lot of people in terrible situations. I will be giving back to Howard Brown for the rest of my life.

I call a day ahead of when I need a refill."It'll be ready at 10am".I show up a bit after 10."It'll be ready in 15 minutes".I run a 30 minute errand and come back."It'll be ready in 15 minutes."I end up in the waiting room for at least another 30.It's always some variation of this. Seems impossible for it to simply be ready when I get there. The funny thing is, I have also showed up without any warning and gotten the same wait time, so I'm pretty sure they just don't start preparing it until you show up. The workers are plenty nice but the communication is non-existent.

Worst staff. They closed on my face at 11:50 pm even after i kept on knocking. I was coughing so bad and they simply didnt care.

Truly the most unprofessional staff. They will mock patients having difficulty getting medication and show zero concern for the people they are supposed to be helping. It also takes them twenty minutes to answer the phone on a weekday. Do not go here especially if you are queer.

They don't know how to process your insurance correctly to make you pay more out of pocket and file a claim later. Terribly ran business just as you'd expect from anything associated with Howard brown.

Do not trust Walgreens online delivery. The website says 2-hour delivery for orders placed before 8pm. So I placed an order at 6pm. I find out 4 hours later that my order was postponed until the next morning. Also, multiple items were unavailable. Wish I had just gone to the store myself.

The staff here are awesome! Everyone I've spoken to and seen (and unfortunately I have a lot of contact with them!) are so kind and understanding, and even upbeat and funny when you need a lift! They go out of their way to get you discounts or cheaper alternatives if you need it, they're happy to answer questions, solve problems, and get you the pharmacist if you need them. Even though they can get pretty busy, I always feel the care of the staff. The pharmacist, Jill (not sure if there's more than one) is remarkably helpful and compassionate--she really blew me away after having the opposite experience with the Walgreen's in Evanston (635 Chicago Ave--don't go there!) I live 30 minutes away, but its well worth it to come here. Grateful for these folks!

Flag for TGNC or Queer folks assuming this location is a safer way to pick of prescriptions. I’ve witnessed multiple staff members over the past year refusing to use correct names, shouting deadnames and misgendered language at patients in a public space, and hurling micro-aggressions at patients if they ask for a correction. The pharmacist is un-concerned with the issue and reported that it will not be fixed. They also regularly mess up prescription amounts and dosages and blame it on the patient. I’ve been going here for 5 years and most of that time it’s been a compassionate and efficient experience, but over the past year it’s been a nightmare every time for one reason or another. You’re honestly better off going across the street in most cases.

Because of work I can only go pick up my prescriptions in the morning or after work (before and after the building is open/closed) and they make it difficult for me to get the prescriptions. They don’t pick up the phone, they just put you on hold forever. Super inconveniencing and I bet the good reviews they have on here are from people that work there.
