I dropped off a simple prescription for a toothpaste my dentist wants me to use. I dropped it off at 2pm, and was told it would be ready at 3pm. Hmmm. It would take an hour for someone to walk over to the right pharmacy shelf and get it. OK.At 3pm, I returned and was told it wouldn't be ready until 3:30pm. When I dropped off the prescription, they said they had it in stock. OK.Apparently, it will take over an hour and a half to walk 15 feet and get the box to fill the order.

I have always been accommodated by the staff. Though I really recommend more staff. But have never had a problem they didn't resolve for me.

Ordered 1 to 2 day express delivery of medication on Sunday. Now Thursday... run out of medication, no delivery, can't pick up as sick at home, and pharmacy about to close. Called this morning and basically got the response "oh well, they didn't pick it up for delivery. Maybe later today or tomorrow".

I got a little insight into why the pharmacy at this location is so mind-numbingly incompetent: they all hate their jobs! There was an exchange between 3 associates--manager, pharmacy cashier and pharmacist (!?!)--where the manager was sharing he was working a mid-shift bc he had a seminar early the next day. When the pharmacist was told that the seminar had nothing to do with work, she exclaimed, "As long as it's not Walgreens!" which was apparently the most hilarious thing she could have said to them. Yikes. Fast forward to me waiting 30 minutes for a booster shot and then asking, when Grace from the pharmacy called another customer up, how far behind they were running with appointments. Spoiler alert: they've misplaced my paperwork and totally didn't know I was there waiting. Great! So Grace takes me into the room to give me the shot and flat out refuses to apologize for leaving me hanging for a half hour. Hey Grace, here's some life advice: even if it's not your fault, offer up an apology to the customer when they've been wronged. It shows professional maturity and makes it seem like you care! Oh right, you all hate your jobs. Got it. Bye bye Walgreens.

I've always had pleasant and helpful cashiers when I've had to shop here, but if you go to the pharmacy, brace yourself for some unprovoked meanness from one of their customer service/cashiers. She wasn't wearing a name tag, but yikes, Walgreens pharmacy at this location has an employee being dismissive and rude to people who are just there to address a healthcare need. I waited for a vaccine and overheard it with other customers, so it wasn't just me.

The pharmacy at this location is the biggest joke. So disorganized, long lines, skipped appointments!! Avoid this store like the plague!

Moving to the Edgewater area in Chicago has been very challenging. This is the third negative experience I have encountered from local stores. So now I will tell my story. Tonight I went to Walgreens approximately 9:30 p.m. to take advantage of my $6 Walgreens cash rewards coupon. After spending over $30 in purchases a few days ago I received this "coupon" stating that I will get $6 Walgreens cash rewards benefits off my next purchase if I spend over $20. If done so by 3/23/2021. Here's the problem. When I got to the register Manager Matt rang up $38 in purchases and stated that my $6 Walgreens cash rewards will come off my next purchase. I stated "no sir, this is not what this coupon says. This coupon states that I will get $6 Walgreens cash rewards off on my next purchase, and this is my next purchase". Of course I left the items on the counter and went home, got my glasses and read carefully, elaborately. Accepting the fact that I had just been wronged and willing to give Matt the opportunity to make things right I went back up to the store and stated the latter. Matt was adamant about his position. I then told Matt that he would read about it. He had a smile/smirk on his face as I was leaving. Lets try to decipher his behavior. Is this racism, discrimination, or apart of a hidden cult setting out to virtually humiliate/aggravate me. Projecting this behavior is something Matt is comfortable doing. Because this character is apart of a "smoking mirror" designed to entrap innocent people. I can imagine anything when I should not be imagining anything at all. I patronize these local stores for necessities. I speak and socialize with my neighbor, I treat people fairly, and I'm non judging towards anyone: Race, creed, beliefs, background, etc. With the Covid 19 and many problems that we are having in Chicago we do not need people like Matt servicing the public. I am sure there are many complaints behind the scene in reference to his character/personality. Finally, I am 62 years old and live a quiet tranquil life. I should not be subject to the illegalities by the local police, district attorney, states attorney, Politian's, etc. This is also a form of harassment. I will try to add an image of the coupon with the posted date and refer this issue to the corporate management as well. I also have an intermediate witness (Walgreens employee) and also another customer. Thank you for reading. Have a great day.

Why are they so mean I walked in at 10 pm , Saturday December 19 to shop as I usually do late at night to avoid crowds wanted to spend no more than $75 health and sanitation products had to use the toilet asked a worker she asked her manager told me it just closed at 10p.m. Mind you it was more like 9:59 but the way my body is set up I needed to go quick, I politely put my shopping cart back grab me a Butterfinger paid for it, and went up the street to use Jewel's open and clean restroom and spent over$100 see I'm not spending my money where I can't even use the restroom,I ain't helping nobody wages. Thanks Jewel's for the nice clean restroom and fresh items and low prices

Here's a scary story, just in time for Hallowe'en. I was just at the Walgreen's at Broadway & Glenlake to pick up 2 prescriptions. Ahead of me in line for the Pharmacy was a young, 30-ish couple. First I noticed that he had 2 bottles of Dayquil in his hand, she a box of Vicks Vapo-rub. "Hmm...curious!", I thought. Because the line was moving so slowly, he left her for a couple of minutes to go somewhere else in the store. She took the opportunity to lean against the shelves lining the walls and hunch over accordingly. When he came back, he saw that she was having difficulty holding on to the box of Vicks Vapo-rub, so he took it from her hand and proceeded to support the arm that was NOT leaning on the shelves. They remained in line. I chose to leave. Moral of the story: WHO THE F*** GOES OUT TO A STORE WHEN THEY ARE SO SICK THEY CAN'T STAND UP WITHOUT SUPPORT?!!

Brenda was awesome. It was super duper crazy today due to the pandemic..People were being very rude and pushy. She kept her calm and was very helpful. I'm a hundred percent satisfied. Thank you, Brenda! I hope your bosses take notice of your dedication and hard work!

I really like this location, I remember shopping here when they shared the mall with a Payless shoe store! Their new look is amazing, it’s the typical Walgreens location now, looks great and offers all Walgreens items. Their store associates are fairly nice and helpful, it’s my walgreen of choice.

Nice clean newer looking store. Staff is friendly and I love how large their grocery section is. This has been my go to location for prescription needs for years and they've done a great job.

Nice enough locale, convenient to Granville red line, but everything there moved really slow. No alacrity. And of course, prices aren't great, but that's every Walgreens/cvs

I've been sitting here for over an hour though they told me 25 minutes. They even called me up and made me sit back down. I'm highly contagious and running a high fever so now I'm just sitting here crying and waiting.
