I always have a bad experience, regardless of the service I use. This store, in particular, lacks at the photo counter and FedEx services. The staff is rude, unprofessional, unhelpful, and slow. Moving all my prescriptions to the pharmacy at the grocery store north of Catalpa has been the best decision to avoid the monthly hassle of visiting this Walgreens location.

This is the worst Walgreens I’ve been to in the city of Chicago. And that’s a true accomplishment. WOW.
The pharmacists are friendly and you can tell they are trying their best despite Walgreens being a horrible company. Go elsewhere.

On the website it says passport/visa photos are sent automatically to your email. So imagine my surprise when I asked about this and the cashier told me I needed to tell them ahead of time for a digital copy and that I needed to come back another day for the photo because I guess she just didn’t want to do it? So I come back two days later and the camera mysteriously isn’t working. There’s a chance I won’t get a visa in time because people don’t want to do their jobs!

this pharmacy is a pharmacy. there are wait times, they’re understaffed, sure. but the pharmacists and techs saved my life once. there was a strange man following me around the store very closely the whole time i was there. he followed me in. i told the pharmacy tech at the counter and they hid me in a back room while they watched him to make sure he left. he went searching for me for a while but eventually they made sure he drove away. im very grateful to the staff here and always will be.

I have tried to give this pharmacy multiple chances to do their jobs. They ignore refill requests, send notifications that prescriptions are ready for pick up and when you arrive they say it isn't ready yet with an attitude of indifference. They even told me that my prescription is "not their problem". Like that's your entire job? It once took them 10 days to fill a prescription after I requested multiple times with multiple phone calls. They. Do. Not. Care. I'm moving pharmacies today (Capsule). So happy to never have to deal with them again!

The pharmacy supervisor manager goes above and beyond their job to make sure they can provide you with excellent service. I hope corporate has an eye on her. She has some tats on her arm I wish I remembered her name but an excellent contribution to Walgreens corp. she should be in corp management!

I’d give zero stars if I could. I’ve been to slow pharmacies before and I’m always willing to give places a chance and I have—multiple times. I’ve put up with grumpiness and slowness, without complaint, but when they gave my prescription away within the pickup deadline, that’s too much. They shrugged, unsure of when they could fill it again and offered no apology for the mistake. They became rude, disrespectful, and entirely unhelpful. I’m switching pharmacies tomorrow, and sharing this so you can learn from my experience and not use this pharmacy. (Also, the register folks are always nice, this review is specifically about the pharmacy.)

I like this location because it’s always a fun gamble at the checkout: will I get the person who hates their job, my face and rest of the universe or will I get the person who is absolutely wonderful, has a gorgeous smile and loves the human experience. Hard to beat that contrast.
