Unacceptable Experience – Poor Management and Staff Conduct
This store falls far below the standard of professional customer service. Staff lacked basic product knowledge and enforced unclear “house rules” without explanation or consistency. Instead of resolving a simple concern, the situation was escalated unnecessarily due to poor communication and lack of leadership.
The manager on duty failed to take control, allowing untrained staff to act without professionalism or accountability. Threatening to involve law enforcement over a customer concern—rather than resolving it calmly—was inappropriate and uncalled for.
This location urgently needs:
Proper staff training on service, policies, and de-escalation
Managers who lead with clarity, not emotion
A focus on respectful, solution-oriented customer interaction
I’ve submitted a formal complaint regarding my experience at this location. After reading many similar negative reviews, it’s clear this is not an isolated issue. The lack of accountability, leadership, and professionalism from both staff and management is unacceptable—especially from a company of this size.
It’s disappointing to see a service-based business forget its core responsibility: to serve customers with respect, fairness, and competence. I expect this complaint to be taken seriously and handled by someone with the proper training and authority to lead by example and correct these issues.
Shame on the leadership chain—from the top down—for allowing this standard to continue. Do better.

Accused me of stealing an item, i bought from their store, with a reciept. Bought literally the night before. I hope this company goes out of business and they clear this location first.

At least an ok to good experience on most of my visits. Definitely try and go to the pharmacy during non peak hours to avoid lines.

The pharmacy. Good lord. The only way to get to speak with a pharmacist is to actually go there. Problem with your prescription? Don't bother calling. I have spent more time sitting on hold, only to have my call disconnected. Anyone have a suggestion for a location with decent service? Time to switch. 4801 N. Lincoln is a disaster.

Went for photo in Walgreens. This lady AMNA help me. Worst experience ever. For st she took the blurry picture and print it. Later I requested to retake and she push me 6 people behind in queue, even though it was her fault to not take picture properly. Then I went with my kids and order 4 photo. I picked up came home and it came out only 2 pictures. Ridiculous service. Photo section supposed to be a skilled person area and not some one Tom dick and harry kind of people serving here. Will never go this location again.

The most incompetent pharmacy department i have ever encountered. They either can't read and/or can't count. Every refill has problems. Calling them is pointless; they just pick up and put you back on hold without saying a word to games their hold time metrics. You will never speak to a human.

Disappointed. I went in for a passport photo for online renewal. The digital copy they took did not meet the gov. standards. The photo was rejected for having too dark of a background. When I called into the photo department, the shift lead (very mechanically) told me that they could not brighten the background of my pic and send it digitally (something they had no problem doing to the physical copies). For an additional fee, I could purchase a flash drive and they could brighten the background and transfer the photo. Save your time and money!

Why is $8 shampoo locked up like it's a $2k laptop???
Having to wait for a worker (and the workers are amazing) to UNLOCK THE LOCKED SHAMPOO for me, like I'm a child, is an insane way to treat customers.
Will not ever be shopping here again. Do not give this Walgreens your money until they can treat their customers like adults who do not need to be constantly surveiled by the workers here. Locking up $8 shampoo is utterly insane and a waste of my time, and frankly insulting.

Pharmacy techs are nice, but the pharmacist had practically no time to answer questions about a controlled substance medication. Now they won’t pick up their phones, lines are out the door, and my medication refills just say “call pharmacy”.
Something’s not right here.
