I patronized this Walgreens and walked to the ATM ACROSS THE STREET for 90 seconds came back and they had booted my car for trespassing. More than half the lot was empty. I had to pay $170 to get my boot off. Someone else just went thru it and another was getting booted as I was paying. Manager at Walgreens did not care at all that I just gave them business

Somona and Kenneth Jay are assets to this Walgreens location! Somona , in my opinion, is the most helpful beauty specialist within the five mile radius of all the Walgreens in Lakeview. Somona is professional, informative and very pleasant. Kenneth Jay has excellent customer service skills and is very personable. Thank you!

Jessica who helped me in the photo department was amazing. She went above and beyond and helped get my order in the system despite not showing up. I had a confirmation email from Walgreens but nothing in their system. She was SO helpful and got me what I needed.

Honestly, some stores are better than others. Other stores have merit. Some, don't imo person in the community who is consistently using this store. Because I'm in the area a lot. However, when I needed it one time use the washroom which in the State of Illinois and in Chicago, um, yeah, it's law that they let you use the washroom and there are quite a few factors in that. But it seems that a lot of businesses these days have taking it upon themselves to not let the public use their washrooms. And unfortunately, today, this review, this Walgreens, gets it so with that said, I can't say the staff was too friendly and when I actually needed to use the washroom, And still do as I'm writing this review in the aisle because I thought it was important. I mean, as a store, maybe it's got some decent stuff, but the staff was not friendly and they don't have public restrooms, I wouldn't recommend it.

This is the second Walgreens store that Iâm reviewing and I see they already have a 2.2 review. Came to the original store where I made a purchase as I was advised by the another store, to return an item and they too force the customer to accept store credit when they have the receipt and are returning the item one week after the purchase. And when you refuse to accept it they give you âoh sorry for the inconvenience.â For what should be illegal not inconvenient. They finally gave cash for return and took the original receipt.

We live nearby and have always relied on this store for tons of basic essentials, including medicine/prescriptions. I donât know what has been going on the last year+ but it is becoming more and more unreliable and unpleasant to visit. Just yesterday the pharmacy randomly shut down for half the day, and that isnât the first time. What is the point of a pharmacy if you canât expect them to be open to get necessary meds?
One of my biggest complaints is the that nearly all of the main fridges/coolers have been down for many months. You canât go in there and get a cold soda or anything and the stuff in the coolers smells bad. I think the freezers are still working for frozen food only. Idk why/how they still have stuff in any of the other fridges/coolers when they are not working.
I actually think they installed an extra mini fridge up front to avoid fixing them. It wasnât there until after they were down for a long time.
Further, it seems like less and less items are getting restocked once theyâre out on the shelf, and pray you donât need something from a locked case, because itâs so understaffed that itâll take forever for you to get it. I once waited 10+ minutes just for some antacids locked behind a case. Iâve walked out several times once I realized I had to hit a button to unlock an item.
That isnât a criticism of the employees, either. Theyâre just doing their best and have usually always been great but most of the time theyâre too busy or understaffed to get someone too you.
Itâs also common to see people lined up to the photo counter and 1, maybe 2 if your lucky registers open. It can take ages to checkout.
This location is busy all the time so it SHOULD make money. I donât understand the lack of maintenance and staff support to manage the amount of customers.
Iâve lived nearby 5 years and it wasnât always this way. Like I said, we used to rely on it, but now I will go somewhere further away like Target if itâs something I really need or want. I just canât rely on this Walgreens anymore.
Itâs starting to feel like the sketchy CVS that shut down across the street, which isnât good, but at least their fridges worked.
