Only one cashier working the line checking people out, assisting with pick ups and whatever else. She was quick, pleasant, warm hearted, and had us laughing. Exactly what was needed.

The pharmacy at Walgreens on 79th Street and Jeffrey is terrible they never have your medication ready and they do not notify you when the medication is not available and you need to notify your doctor of any changes. I would not recommend this pharmacy to know one. I needed breathing medication, went to the doctor at 9:00 this morning and I decided to call them to find out why my medication was not filled by 7:00 at night just to be told that they no longer had one of the medications and that I was going to have to notify my doctor. Now I won't be able to notify my doctor because it's the weekend. They are not pulling people's prescriptions to be filled right away.

Walgreens at 8628 s. Cottage Grove in Chicago, Ill 60619 ... needs the attention of corporate office - not only do they have long waiting lines (clearly understaffed), the empty freezers and coolers are also filthy .. this is not a one time thing this is EVERYDAY ... please keep in mind there are no grocery stores in this immediate area ... needless to say I feel for those who live in this area and don't have cars .... this is horrible, the conditions are deplorable ... what about our disabled and elderly???!!!!Walgreens what are your plans for this community? Are we not eligible for purchasing clean food from a freezer at safe temperatures?Should we not expect a clean cooler and freezer, or is that too much to expect for a BIG BOX STORE like WALGREENS?

If I could give this Walgreens ZERO STARS I WOULD. Picked up my prescription was given the wrong medication that could have caused severe side effects- placed on hold 18 minutes then hung up on- the lady answering keeps saying thank you for calling Walgreens please hold at least 10xs… such a waste of labor just see what the person is calling for. The drive thru line is always 30 minutes to pick up go inside the computer up front not working employees scrambling to use computer and printer in rear of the pharmacy- PLACE A SERVICE CALL GET THE COMPUTER FIXED ITS SIMPLE! The shelves are empty because all the merchandise is on the floor in crates with all the employees running through the back door by pharmacy like it’s an obstacle course to walk in here. A disgrace to the community a total disrespect for my health giving me the wrong medication- at this point… WHAT ARE YOU EVEN OPEN FOR? The place needs a major management and personnel change and training like immediately

I wish I could give them no stars how the the pharmacy moves they told me my medicine would be ready at 3:00. It still wasn’t ready waited a whole hour and it’s definitely best to go in because they can’t multitask

I would like to thank the people who work in the Walgreens on 79th and Jeffrey. I've been going to this Walgreens for many years. I would like to thank the people who work in the Walgreens on 79th and Jeffrey. Many Walgreens have closed in the Black Communities. However, this Walgreens has remained open. I appreciate all of you.I

This walgreens, specifically the pharmacy lacks professionalism and organization. It's closest to my home so I've continued to give chances they do not deserve. We were denied covid tests with reservations, refused exams at appointment time because they were on break, results jot returned when promised. It is faster to physically come to store than getting a hold of someone on the phone. I have complained to corporate and there was no follow up. This pharmacy deserves zero stars.

Both 1st and 2nd vaccines took way longer than it should. The 1st dose I waited almost an hour waiting to fill out forms, which was sitting at the window the whole time. Now today I’m here early for the 2nd dose, and now I’m having to wait once again. I pre-filled out the forms this time so why am I waiting. It’s hardly no customers in pharmacy. But I guess this what happens at this location. never again!

I like to support my neighborhood business to gain familiarity with people who work in my neighborhood. I opted to obtain my booster shot from my local Walgreens and was disappointed in the organization and lack of professional from the pharmacy ladies. I often look for keen smart and intelligent people who enjoy their jobs . It makes your experience worthwhile and it makes the customer want to come back. I didn't initially notice this upon my interaction with the young ladies in pharmacy. However the pharmacist Johnnie changed all my opinion totally. He extremely efficient and competent. He showed a great level of respect to all the customers ie referring to customers by Ms/Mr and ensuring their privacy wasn't violated ie not disclosing full names and addresses of the customersOr medications. I hope that he can train his staff to be as pleasant and professional as he. Thank you sir

Surprised by the poor service at the pharmacy here!I scheduled my COVID-19 booster and went to the store on my appointed date/time. After waiting in a long line, a pharmacy employee announced that they had run out of the vaccine and that we should come back tomorrow as a walk-in patient, adding that the store doesn't do appointments. Strange, because me and several other people waiting line had made appointments online for this location. The pharmacist said that they ran out because they had depleted their supply by giving shots to people who came earlier, without appointments. What??? He said the situation was out of his control. Not so: he chose to punish the people who made appointments by giving away their doses to people who didn't bother to make an appointment. He didn't even apologize for the store's lack of organization and haphazard way of administering its allotted doses. If the store wants to take walk-ins, that's fine if you have enough doses to accommodate them and the people with appointments. If you don't, you have to save enough shots for the people with appointments and turn away the walk-ins accordingly. I'm upset about not only the store's disorganization, but also how poorly and irresponsibly the pharmacist responded to the situation. Walgreens, you need train your people better, or you will lose good customers.
