The staff at the pharmacy was very helpful. I had an emergency prescription needed and they were able to accommodate quickly!

Not a great Walgreens, as the other reviews attest. I get my prescriptions filled here because they accept my insurance; otherwise, I would go to CVS, where the staff is friendlier and more professional. I always seem to wait a long time for them to find my prescription, even though I always call it in and am assured that it's ready. I think the pharmacy assistants here are poorly trained, and they just don't seem to have any executive functioning skills. The pharmacists are professional and helpful, and I always end up dealing with them because the person at the pharmacy checkout can't cope with my order. The store itself is fine; I'm seeing reviews that say the shelves are empty, but I haven't experienced that. I don't shop here much, as CVS is just as far from my condo, and it's a nicer store, but I'll sometimes pick something up when I'm getting my prescriptions filled. There are homeless people often hanging around outside, but this is downtown Chicago, and, if you live here, you know that it's just how it is, so I don't fault them for that.

Love the ability the get in and out quickly. Must watch the sales and coupons for the best prices...it is a drug store after all. Loyalty program changes a lot but I think they finally have it right. As a consumer watch for their clearances and discontinued items as the discounts are quite deep. Definitely a great quick trip store.

Piling on to say I've had exactly the same problems for years, and then some. Chronically understaffed, extremely hard to reach by phone -- one time I called 5 times in a row, each time getting cut off while waiting in queue from 20 to 40 minutes. Yesterday, I went in person to check on a prescription refill that had been "out of stock" for 8 days. Waited in line for 20 minutes, watching staff fumble through multiple bins to find the prescriptions of people in front of me. Noticed while I waited that somebody's lunch was sitting on chair in the pharmacy waiting are while staff walked by it -- not very sanitary or attentive to the environment. When my turn came, I asked why they hadn't ordered my med from another store. Staff person didn't know. Asked why this common med was so delayed. Same answer. Asked for advice about what do as I had been waiting for 8 days -- the answer was to try another location. Walked to the the Walgreens at Michigan and Chicago, was in stock, filled in 15 minutes. Another concern: The med list I maintain on the Walgreens website doesn't reconcile with the med list in the Walgreens automated refill phone system. All of this adds up to a medication safety concern, as well as just plain bad service that seems entrenched as normal for this store

I have been a customer at your pharmacy on and off for years, but today's experience was beyond disappointing. It's become apparent to me why I stopped coming here in the first place. The way your staff treated me was nothing short of disrespectful and unprofessional. It's concerning when I am standing right there and the person at the front counter chooses to talk to me through another staff member as if my health concerns are a joke. This level of rudeness and incompetence is unacceptable, and it's completely contrary to what one should expect from a healthcare provider. As a loyal customer, I expect to be treated with respect and professionalism when I visit your pharmacy. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements to ensure a better experience for your customers in the future. I have no choice but to take my business elsewhere.

The pharmacist, Michelle, was very insensitive to a situation where Walgreens had been incompetent at refilling a necessary medication that was out of stock temporarily and then promised for pick up after a week of going between pharmacies she would not fill because it was never canceled at the other pharmacy which was closed and then canceled online but didn't process quickly enough, resulting in yet another day without medication. This pharmacy needs to close -very disorganized and unreliable. The technicians are asking for customers to do their job by going between their pharmacies to cancel and coordinate prescriptions-this is nearly impossible for an elderly or sick person to navigate: You'd think an educated pharmacist would have sense to remedy this kind of issue with a better solution than excuses of staffing issues. I fully support the walk out and close down of any Walgreens that cannot uphold a vital part of the healthcare system. I give the staff and process 1 star for being the pits You'd think with the technology today that the pharmacist would have some ability with their own computer system to manage a cancellation in order to refill a script properly. I could not be more disgusted in the pharmacy employees and process at Walgreens. They would be better off not existing and such a let down to the community they cannot serve.

Dirty, gross store. Long line at the pharmacy with at least two people who were actually crying about how difficult it was to get their prescriptions filled.

This is generous as should be 0 stars, as this Walgreens pharmacy as well as 2 others I have visited are all terrible. I use to go to CVS and what a difference!!! Walgreens corporation should be embarrassed by how poorly run their pharmacies are. The pharmacy staff is awful. I went to pick up a prescription after I received a text that my prescription was ready. There were 2 prescriptions but they only filled one and had trouble finding it in the mess of bags. Then they finally found it and when I asked about the second one, The pharmacy tech said I would hav to wait an hour and a half for them to fill it! Help!

Dirty store, empty shelves and terrible customer service. We stopped in because we were across the street at Portillo's. Never again. We have to customer service to purchase liquor, it's locked behind a cage. After waiting over 5 minutes the guy mozied over like he was in the backroom sleeping. At checkout they have to scan your DL, to verify you're of age. The guy at the counter was an idiot. He made smart comments about my age, about us being married and about buying alcohol. Really? Just overall needs new management to clean up staff and store.

The worst pharmacy with rudest staff ever. Urgent care called in an Rx for a pain med got torn Achilles tendon hours ago. It still wasn't ready and the pharmacist was on an unannounced 45 minute meal break (no sympathy here- I'm a pharmacist in pharma R&D who routinely takes 5 minutes lunches at my desk while doing meetings, etc). They blamed the number of Covid injections they had to give today. Maybe they should require appointments like every other pharmacy so they can focus on their core business).

THE HEAVY SET SHORT employee or whatever she was With the Monroe piercing and blue chipped nails that was there on Friday night @ 10:30pm ( had no name tag ) needs to get fired and go to the ring and let that anger out. Mad for doing her job and was wrong every time. Kept walking away saying profanities at the top of her lungs and got herself out of breathe and was extremely unprofessional. She was making sure we heard, she wasn't going to help us because there was a "line" but, we were already in line waiting to load our card. Kept saying she couldn't load my card and it kept going through so she felt some type of way that I even knew her job better than her. And then said that Pedro probably allowed us immigrants to put money in our cards. Which was extremely racist and I would never do that to anyone. Highly upset that this behavior is allowed. Fire her.

Their pharmacy service is a nightmare. I have spent and I am not kidding, hours on hold to speak to a pharmacist. This has been on more than one occasion only to be disconnected multiple times. I realize they are busy but it has been this way for several years and they do nothing about adding staff. When picking up prescriptions, there is often a long line and only one person working with patients. The staff is tired and rude. Its taken me forever but I am finally moving my account to CVS

Would not let me get a Covid test because they require to only do it via drive-they even though I explained I didn't have a vehicle and considering most people in the city do not own vehicles and refused to let me walk up to the drive-thru or get it in person at the pharmacy. Outside of there being no reasoning they could provide as to why, the willingness to provide another option was nonexistent even though the confirmation email they send says they will.

Extremely rude, disrespectful and discriminatory blonde (?) female tech at the pharmacy just before noon today. Since you have zero clue re: basic customer service, quick recap even you should be able to understand.... 1. Have a clearly indicated line for the pharmacy. 2. If a person was clearly waiting for you and was there way before the other person even walked into the store.....that person who was there first should go first. 3. CVS on Orleans gave me what I needed in less than a minute - including the entire checkout process. 4. Now I know why my company switched their entire prescription benefits exclusively to CVS and that's 15k+ employees and their families.
