I love this area. I walk my dog here and stop in the dog park sometimes. There’s farmers markets on Sunday’s during the nicer months. The only con is that you won’t find parking.

Dedicated on September 21, 2006, the life-size bronze sculpture of Charles Gustavus Wicker (1820-89) in his namesake Chicago park depicts the businessman, politician, and developer as an almost forbidding figure. As imagined by sole living descendant, great-granddaughter and sculptor Nancy Deborah Wicker of Harvard, IL, the man who gave the neighborhood its name is shown wearing a grim visage, a Lincoln-like stovepipe hat, and a bulky overcoat that makes him look like a Wild West lawman. All that’s missing is a horse (as if the Park District needs another equestrian statue, anyway).

Water fountain with smaller drinkable water fountains alongside by the benches.Visited on a Saturday afternoon with a friend to wait and eat our Lou Malnati's pizza on a picnic table. Lots of dogs and families, and young people hanging out. One person sleeping on the bench. The building has men's and women's restrooms as well.Restrooms: CleanPicnic area: Several picnic tables throughout the park.

If you’re on holiday in Chicago, this is a nice break from the big city! A very relaxed green park with some quirky shops on the high street - thoroughly recommend visiting!

Great Sunday farmers market with fresh and delicious options such of fruits, vegetables, cheeses, meats, donuts, bread, and so much more.Vert dog friendly, and the vendors are wonderful.

Nice place, lots of beautiful flowers, a place perfect for some photo shoot. There are also playgrounds so children will also find something for themselves. A plus is that you can take your pet for a walk;)Dog-friendliness: You can easily take your dog for a walk
