I love the interior, a mix of neoclassical and Gothic Revival architecture with Art Deco influences. For Open House, we got to see the notably massive 88,000-square-foot grand banking hall on the second floor

If you were promised $300 Promotional Offer upon opening an account and never paid - welcome to my club! This is the worst bank I ever had in my life. I not only didn't received money, but they also had wrong number attached to my account that I never had! I have my phone number for 8 years. I don't know who you can breach customers security and still be in business. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO READ THIS COMMENT BEFORE MAKING A MISTAKE

Hello EveryoneI am an international student from DePaul University who is currently on OPT.I opened a checking account in January 2020 at Wintrust state street branch since they offered a promotional offer for all DePaul students. The promotional offer stated that if DePaul students open a checking account with Wintrust state street bank, they will credit $50 as an account opening bonus to the checking account within 3 months of opening the account. But, $50 was never credited to my checking account. In March 2020, due to the pandemic the Wintrust state street branch closed indefinitely. So, I was unable to sort out the issue in-person. I called the Wintrust customer support multiple times but there was no response. Finally, a few weeks back a banker from Wintrust state street branch emailed me to send her a copy of my updated OPT I-20 form for their record. I emailed them the updated I-20 form but I was also happy that I was finally able to connect to someone from the Wintrust state street branch. I emailed the banker from Wintrust state street branch and informed her that the $50 promotional offer has still not been credited to my account and can you please credit it as soon as possible.I was very disappointed with the response that I got from the banker on behalf of the bank manager of Wintrust state street bank. They stated that since the account was 2 years old they will be unable to credit a $50 promotional offer to my account. It sounds extremely unprofessional on behalf of the Wintrust state street bank when the Wintrust state street bank itself was closed for two years for in-person customers during the pandemic, so how are customers to sort out the issue in-person at the branch. It was the error on behalf of the bankers who work at the Wintrust state street bank who did not credit the $50 promotional offer within 3 months of opening my DePaul checking Wintrust account. Instead of acknowledging their error and apologizing for it, they send me an email stating that they will be unable to credit a $50 promotional offer to my account.I am very disappointed with the customer service of Wintrust state street bank. They not even refuse to acknowledge their error and apologize for it, but refuse to admit the fault of the bankers who work at the Wintrust street branch who were unable to fulfill their promise of the promotional offer.

Do not use this bank. They discriminated against me and violated several federal laws (Fair Housing Act, TILA, RESPA) while originating mortgage.

Although the building is very nice the tellers who work in the bank are extremely rude as if they hate their job and can't even smile to even be polite. I rather go to any other branch in downtown than this one !!

If I could give them zero stars I would. RACIST and MISERABLE. This bank is horrible! I came to withdraw some money and they had me waiting at the teller for about 20 minutes while the teller typed away made multiple copies of my ID and a phone call. Eventually I ask her what she's doing. She then says she has to confirm with the bank I made the account with that I can take that much out. Okay, whatever. But she literally told me nothing until I asked. Eventually multiple bank employees were asking me what my job is and why I spend so much money and have so many people paying me, 1. NOT THEIR BUSINESS. However I still informed them I'm self employed and have a lot of expenses. Eventually after eye rolls, and pointless questioning they told me that I can get it this time but next time I can't. (Also,They insinuated multiple times that my money couldn't possible be legal, (probably had something to do with the fact I'm young and black.) )And I told them yes I can because it's MY money. They told me if a company pays me I need a business checking, hm? Since when??? I don't remember that law. I have a business checkings at another bank but I've been with Wintrust since I was a kid so my investment deposits/ withdrawals go there and a few other incomes. This place was rude, unprofessional, jealous, and I can't WAIT to call and write corporate. A bunch of jealous, racist, older miserable women who can't stand to see a happy person doing well in life. All in all about an hour of my day wasted on negativity with bitter miserable people with horrible customer service. I will be closing my accounts soon with Wintrust and switching to another bank.

Jocelyn the teller was so helpful and kind to me today when I was panicking about an issue with my account. She explained why it might take some time to resolve the issue, and then called me promptly once the issue was resolved. I so appreciated her kindness and good customer service!

Wintrust seems to be a collection of sub par local banks that act like the big boys. I had an account with Wintrust Chicago and wanted to transfer money to Wintrust Lake Forest. It took a week for them to tell me they couldn't do it because they were affiliate banks. They are just a collection of suburban banks using Wintrust for marketing reasons. They are just incompetent. I am moving to a big bank-Chase
