I've only been in Zara once, the clothes are amazing. The prices are reasonable. There's something for every occasion from fun clothing to after five. This is my new favorite store! I can't get enough... The only negative is that the sizes are different for every item. One coat could be true-to-size medium, while another coat would run extremely small.

Was profiled while shopping this evening. I had a large shopping bag from another store, I guess that means I automatically came to steal. While I was in the men’s section browsing the colognes, the cashier just so happened to have to come from behind the register to fold t-shirts vs help the 5+ guys who were shopping around. I took that on the chin, decided on a cologne and headed back downstairs to check out the perfumes. I again sat my bag down nearby as I browsed, an employee (which I didn’t know at the time) comes over and picks up a few perfumes and then asks me were these all for women. I said yeah but men is upstairs, he says oh cool. Then I see him head over to the self checkout and help customers over there! Final straw was the security guard coming over to smell perfumes as I was browsing. Be for real! Are yall that down bad you have to stalk a customer through the store over a couple of $25 fragrances?! Zara will never see another dime of my money.

My partner and I visited this Zara location, and he tried on a jacket that was clearly marked with a $49 sticker price (the same as several other jackets on the rack). At the register, it rang up as $119. We didn’t question it at the time, but it didn’t sit right with me afterward.
Later, I did some research and discovered that Zara faced a lawsuit in 2016 for a “bait-and-switch” practice, displaying a lower euro price on tags, then charging more at checkout. That seems to be exactly what happened here.
We’ll be returning the jacket, but I wanted to share this so others are aware. I wish I had asked for a manager right then and there. Be careful when shopping here, always double check prices before paying!

I had a disappointing experience at this Zara location on 08/11/2025 at 11:08 AM while attempting to return some items. The cashier assisting me was, unfortunately, the most unprofessional I’ve encountered across any Zara store I’ve visited globally. Her attitude was robotic, she mumbled throughout the interaction, and her sarcastic tone made the experience particularly unpleasant. It was clear that customer service training is urgently needed in this case. As someone who regularly shops at Zara worldwide, this was by far the worst service I’ve received.

I went to the store tonite at exactly 750 PM and the doors were already closed against the official close time of 8PM. This is very unprofessional. People make trips relying on the store timings. Officially as per the rules, the store should be open to public till 8PM. Doors should not be closed even a minute before. I myself have stores and fully aware of such policies and how any deviation from store timings can be a concern.

Again and Again, I come into another location after going to the one in Woodfield mall and Skokie Location of where the people that work in there are nowhere to be found and no help at all. I recently go to The location in Chicago one State Street and they are no help last year July. I came in store and bought a bunch of stuff. I came actually two days in a row and realized that one of my items had the sensor on it. Unfortunately, I work a job that is all year around and I’m too busy to continue to go back-and-forth to Zara and I come into the state street location to finally get the sensor taken off of the shirt well, now that’s Zara does the text the receipt I go and I still have the receipt. I open it now the receipt does not open.
I am told by the manager at the location that I can go online and get the receipt. Well I get online to try to get the receipt and I can’t. He then says oh it’s because it was from 2024 so now you have to call customer service so I stand in the store for 45 minutes waiting for customer service to answer after being hung up on the first time second time someone answered and didn’t say anything and then the third time I finally was able to speak to someone, but guess what she was no help. I am sick and tired of customer service continuingly going down. It is not my fault that the Skokie location left the sensor on my T-shirt and now I have to go through 1 million skips topped in a jump to wait 24 to 48 hours to get the new receipt and then again drive all the way back downtown or back all the way to the Skokie location to Get the sensor taken off of my shirt. I am very pissed off and I am again sick and tired of 2025 customer service. It is going down and down every day. I have been in retail for 10 years and this is never how I’ve trained my employees. This is never how I’ve acted towards customers when someone asked you for help you help them you don’t point them in the direction to go find whatever you need or tell them to call customer service you sit there and you help the customer out and this is getting beyond me.

The worst store in Chicago, hands down. We were the only customers in the kids’ area, and despite two employees working in that section without much of anything to do (they were looking at iPads) they refused to offer assistance, and when we were ready to check out, we were coldly told, “You need to go downstairs.” The very downstairs that was slammed with shoppers when they could have EASILY rang us up in kids’. We put everything back and left. We won’t be back.

Worst Zara. Limited on everything from workers to clothing availability. Manager is worthless and had the worst customer service. They don’t honor their prices clearly listed on their clothing labels and won’t offer any adjustments. I was overcharged on 3 separate items totaling $24 + tax because they can’t bother to update their price tags. I will never return to this garbage location. I’ve filed a complaint with the BBB for your price gouging tactics. Hopefully they’ll learn and replace the manager so this store can improve.

Wow. Absolute terrible service. Both men and women's fitting rooms closed over an hour before the store closing due to short staffing. Wow ! Advertise this people. This is terrible.

Ashly the manager of the store on Michigan Ave. is terrible. The store is filthy, the lines to check out ridiculous. She could care less. Clothes thrown on the floors versus racks. No one knows whatvthey are doing there. Worst Zara store i have rver bern to. She and others who oversee this store should be fired immediately!
