Thank you everyone at Route 66 Animal hospital. My cat was in need of medical attention. This is the only place in Berwyn and Cícero that takes walk ins. The staff and Dr. were very kind and professional. The office is clean and I felt very comfortable.

Been bringing my pets here since they first opened their doors. My 15y/o cat and 3 y/o dog have been in the best care. Amazing docs, and super nice staff.

They close at 7pm but at 544pm they cannot accept an animal because the doctor is leaving soon. Then why are your hours until 7pm? It doesn't say closes at 630 or 6pm because the Dr is leaving or because you need to clean up! When I called this morning they just said call when You get here not or that need to be here as soon as you call. Horrible service for me. I will not be back, even after then said call back in the morning. No point! Won't have my service

Our beloved kitty, Gordo, was euthanized on 6/15/2023. A week later, We received the ashes of our pet but not the clay paw print they offered. My wife called immediately after receiving the ashes to inform them that the paw print wasn't in the bag handed to her. Their first excuse was that the crematory had run out of materials and would be making it later.Their second excuse was that it wasn't delivered. The third excuse was that it was on its way, and she would be getting a call when it was received. Finally, she received a call from the clinic that the crematory made the clay paw print, delivered it but it was nowhere to be found, but that it wasn't the clinic's fault. For 4 weeks they lied through their teeth. The last piece of remembrance of our cat was robbed from us, and made worse by their constant lying. All they had to offer was $10 for their incompetence. They couldnt even be bothered to send a condolence card.To further prove that they are dishonest and untrustworthy, whenever my wife asked for further information, no one had any answers, only the manager/supervisor "Grace" was privy to that information. When she asked when "Grace" was going to be available, she was told she didn't have a set schedule and had no regular hours. Only come to find out that the manager/supervisor was on maternity leave! Why would you be dishonest about something like that?!. Today, on 7/10/2023, my wife received a call stating that we would not be receiving the paw print. The blame is being shifted to the crematory, claiming they never delivered it, while the crematory maintains records showing that they did deliver it. In an attempt to make amends, they refunded the money for the paw print and added an extra $10 as compensation. It is deeply disheartening that my wife was repeatedly misled, being told that the paw print had not been delivered, when in reality, the vet had lost it. As our kitty is no longer with us, obtaining the paw print was crucial, and a refund falls short of rectifying the situation. Losing our kitty's paw print was a significant loss, and it is disconcerting that this is the best resolution offered.

My German shepherd was there for a 10 day observation. At first i thought they were afraid of him for possible rabies but that wasn't the case. They were just cold hearted. It was my responsibility to go feed him and walk him which i did, at first I was told after 9 am but that changed everyday. The yard was completely filled with feces and the garbage cans are filled to the top, there's also a rusted fire pit that is hazardis to a dog if he should run and bump into it as my dog did since it's in the center of the yard and there aren't any lights there. The employees seemed bothered and annoyed with me when I was only there to feed and walk my dog. The one supervisor Juan Carlos was the worst! He told me I wouldn't be allowed to visit for more than a half hour and that o was taking time away from their busy schedule as if i wasn't a paying customer. Their services were not cheap. I attempted to speak with the owner which is Dr. Perez but that waste of time. I will never take my dog there and do not recommend anyone to them.

I thought it was odd that the animal owner could not be in the examining room with the doctor. Everyone was kind and friendly. The doctor took her time and was very knowledgeable. Her advice made sense I would go back again.

Seems like reliable care BUT1. you can not see them examine your dog2. We brought a litter of pups in and they missed that one pup had a leg deformity *we have experience with canines so we suspected something but seeing as how we scheduled a pup full check-up and they are field experts we deferred to them. And they said 3 vets looked at the pup, like how did they miss this?3. They are often running behind4. They charge for bill of reports on health for the pups even tho we paid for a pup check up. I thought it was weird and it felt like I was paying for the receipt. We literally just wanted the results of the check-up stating that the pups were in good health. They said ok 10 dollars each for that. lol of course I paid like a foolio :(

They have taken care of my two cats and dog very well. The cats are relatively new to the family but brought them to get them to date with vaccines and rabbies shots. They were both strays but one of them was in really bad shape. She had a few minor wounds. But after they checked her out her they prescribed a few medications, and she got her health back after I gave her doses for a few weeks. I'm so glad we got over that! They all are really healthy now!My cat had another issue where she got these bumps on her neck. I took her here. They weren't exactly sure what it was but they gave her a penicillin shot, shaved the area, and told me to keep it clean. It worked.Overall, they are a very good vet for you pets. I just don't like that you can't go in the building. You have to call once your there and they'll call you to let you know you can drop off your pet.
