“My daughter and I stopped by Mr. Wayne's shop yesterday and were blown away by how helpful and eager to please the staff was.
In a world where people are so unconnected and hurried and anonymous, Mr. Wayne's made our very brief visit so incredibly personal, meaningful and memorable.
Thank you for reminding me --- and for teaching my 11-year-old, Maddie – that good people are out there and still do things for the sake of being kind.

“I have a Bluey loving 4 year old. There is an episode about chess so she became obsessed with learning. I have wanted to come to this store for a while, so the Bluey episode seemed to be perfect motivation to do so. When I walked in, I saw beautiful statement chess boards and fun and quirky boards and some simple elegant boards. We were able to find the perfect chess board for a 4 year old (yes it exists; magnets to hold it to the board and a foldable board game for storage). There is also a book for learning chess and a meetup once a week so she can practice (or I can so we can learn together!). I loved our visit here and recommend it for anyone looking for a chess board or to improve their game.”

Company question, why is there only a complaint line through corporate? I had to leave my compliments for Jennifer and her team with the complaint dept. That's not going to inspire loyalty in your staff, or customers obviously. Please make it easy to leave compliments where they belong! And maybe give that girl a raise”

She is so great at her job that my son was smiling whole appointment, it went smooth for us and the style is perfect even we let her do it by her reccomendation. Best at her job. “Another Downers business that has changed its name since I was last in. it used to be called My Favorite Toy Store. Now, some of us might hate to admit it, but there is a little of Peter Pan in all of us. Don't be embarrassed, you will feel right at home in this store. There is a great selection of toys for all ages, actually for the ageless. Why didn't they have toys like this when I was that age? They have things to shake, ride, chew, watch, read, grow, manipulate, make, and wish you had thought of so you could be sunning on some beach somewhere instead of living the everyday grind. And.................. free gift wrap and a reward program. Did I mention that they welcome you to stay and play (oops, I meant shop) until closing time?”

“This is a good store to go to if you’re shopping for calendars. Make sure you go when they are heavily discounted. I went today and it was 75% off. We were able to get two calendars for $6.73. Besides calendars, they also have puzzles, board games, etc. I recommend checking them out. Just a FYI, they do open later than some of the other stores. On Sundays, they opened at noon. Service was good. It’s located close to the kiddie haircut place.”

“With the whole squishy, Needoh, dumpling craze - I have found myself in this learning express more times in the last 2 months than I would like to admit. But, my 4 kids love it - so we are here on the regular. I have found the staff members to be incredibly kind, respectful, and helpful - even after the hundreds of questions my kids (ages 10 and under) askthem. I can’t imagine what the learning express team puts up with on a daily basis, with all of these kids coming in throughout the day - but they seem to always have smiles on their faces nonetheless. Highly recommend this little shop, if not for s dumpling/needoh/squishy toy - maybe for one of the awesome other gifts they offer!”
