My family has banked here for 30+ years. I personally have been with them for 20.Kyle is an absolutely AMAZING loan officer who has helped me through 2 car loans. Cannot recommend him enough.My husband and I moved out of state 2 years ago and still continued to solely stick with FCB.That being said, despite me being there for so long, and receiving (mostly) great service, my husband and I are closing our accounts with FCB and opening one with a bank in our new state.Terri from customer service is very snippy, short, and has an attitude almost every time I have Called with any questions or to address any issues.We recently ran into an issue where one of our accounts was overdrawn $24 for less than 12 hours before our direct deposit hit. (Due to automatic withdrawal of a bill )We were charged $60.I understand the overdraft policy, but it could clearly be seen that I immediately transferred money to cover the overdrawn amount as soon as we got paid. (Again, less than 12 hours.)All we asked was for a little mercy and to waive those fees.Times are tough right now.I was spoken to like I was a lowlife. I was lectured to about money management. She could care less.It was just very disappointing and embarrassing. I’ve never been spoken to that way before.At the end of the day it was our issue and no one has to do anything nice for us, but this is a local bank that I’ve been with forever in my hometown, whom I’ve done a ton of business with.I just expected more quality customer service and some compassion.We needed to open a bank in our new state anyway, but I wanted to continue to give business to fcb. But this just solidified it was time to move on.

The good: Great staff that is always friendly, courteous, and fast. The needs work: Interest rates on deposit accounts need to be much higher.

Understaffed is correct. When my local bank decided to close their branch office in Collinsville and move into a grocery store (??) we went to FCB to open new checking & savings accounts. From the first five minutes I was ready to abandon ship. Totally disorganized. We were talking to "new accounts" rep and she was constantly interrupted by other employees asking her to do menial tasks. When she left her desk the computer network signed her out. We were there forty five minutes and she was struggling to get us out of there when a teller yelled across the bank for someone to "ANSWER THE PHONE". She took the call and then left her desk. When she came back she couldn't get back on the network. Long story short- we had to return the next day. The most amazing thing is that they screwed up our account numbers and questioned every single deposit we made into our accounts. They were ticked that I had deposit slips from the bank that had the wrong account number printed on them. I didn't print them, you did, was my usual response. Sorry FCB, you continue to disappoint........

Great Bank and I've had nothing but fabulous customer service. Kyle is a great loan officer who is patient and makes sure you understand all your options.

Worst bank ever. Pretends to be local but actually doesn't care about customers. Understaffed. I banked here for over 10 years, but was treated like I don't matter over the phone. I was told that the staff I wanted to speak to could not talk to me because she was "copying documents" despite lobby hours already being closed by the time I finally could get someone on the phone again. I was guilt-tripped for pleading for better service. Somehow, I, as a customer, need to consider all the other customers, even though it is their job, not mine. I was told I could not be called back in a timely fashion because they "ate lunch late." It is obvious the current staff cannot keep up with their responsibilities. I cannot trust a bank that cannot handle both their daily duties and customers. The staff who treated me like dirt are some of the highest in branch management, so you just know how that will trickle down. Very disappointed.

Understaffed, and they don't answer the phone. I was told to wait for hours because the staff I want to talk to is "copying documents." They promised to call back, but did not call within business hours. They suggested I do the dishonest move of revoking a charge afterward, even though I authorized the charge, which I believe should not have been suggested to me BY a bank worker. They told me they could not call me all day because they were too busy and even ate lunch late. Terribly unprofessional behavior. It's obvious the current staff cannot handle their responsibilities. I complained to the compliance officer but was not contacted again. I asked simply for an apology, but was not given one from the staff who bullied me.

I would actually like to give this bank a minus one but the cute, sweet, helpful, patient guy at the desk when you first walk in, is the best and only good thing about this bank. Every single time I've gone in there to get help or open an account the snotty workers don't even acknowledge that you're there. They all need severe lessons in " CUSTOMER SERVICE " I will never go back

Quite possibly the best bank in these United States. Fantastic service, friendly staff, lots of lanes and cashiers. Never been here before and even though there isn't a branch close to where I live I'm thinking about banking with them

Absolutely OUTSTANDING staff here. They really work with their customers when it comes to loans, and seem to actually take an interest in what it is the customer is trying to achieve. Banked here for several years now and don't plan to switching anytime soon. Really not sure how to express how hard these people work for their customers, they're a truly great bunch.
