I was recommended to this shop by my regular mechanic, and have been extremely satisfied with the people here every step of the way.
My Jeep Patriot had started making a grinding sound when it was in gear, so I started calling around to different transmission shops in the area and nobody would touch it (partly because it's a Patriot, which are notorious for having problems with their automatic transmissions... and then the other shops told me, "We dont work on stick shifts. Nobody does anymore" when I explained that this was a standard transmission).
Not Marshall's, though... My mechanic gave me the tip to try them, and the folks at Marshall's were happy to help!
I got a text back from the person working the counter the day after I brought it in, saying the mechanic had looked at it and the transmission would need to be rebuilt or replaced.
She had already called around to find the best prices and outlined all the various options, cost, and warranties (pre-owned, certified refurbished, or rebuilt at Marshall's). After looking at the cost and warranties (and seeing that they were more than willing to stand behind their work), I opted to have my transmission rebuilt there at the shop.
Of course, the estimate for rebuilding any transmission is a nice little chunk of change to come up with all at once. I had to take my car home for a few weeks before I could afford that kind of repair.
When I brought it back, Marshall's said they'd honor the original estimate and got me in right away. The work was done super fast, and they called at the end of the week to tell me it was ready.
And here's the kicker: It was roughly HALF the original estimate I was quoted.
That never happens. I've never had a mechanic charge me less than the estimate. Usually, other mechanics will get it done cheaper and pocket the difference, or tell you there were unexpected costs when you got to pick your car up.
I was blown away by the honesty and integrity at Marshall's Transmission. When you find a shop that honest, you give them all your business for as long as they're around (and sadly, as honest mechanics keep retiring, we're seeing fewer privately-owned shops you can trust... businesses like this are a rare delight to work with).
So if anyone reading this is looking for an honest, reliable, friendly transmission shop that will work on your vehicle with a sense of urgency, I 100% recommend giving Marshall's a call.
I've been telling everyone I know about Marshall's Transmission and will continue doing so any time I hear someone on either side of the river is having transmission problems!

I can not get over what an amazing job Scott did on my F150. He fixed a misdiagnosed issue for less than a quarter the cost I was quoted in Birmingham, Alabama. He was not only correct but quick as well. I can't thank or recommend him enough!!!

Scott has replaced several transmissions for me over 25 yrs and the very first one was a mini van I used for my paper routes. He replaced it at 120k miles. I loaded it down with papers for years after. The engine finally blew at 260k miles and transmission was still strong. I have had 3 more done since then and never had any issues. Highly recommend!

I received a diagnosis from the dealer that my torque converter needed to be replaced and the cost was quite expensive. I took my truck to Marshall's for a second opinion and was told that it was not my transmission at all. He looked at my vehicle and didn't charge me anything for his diagnosis. I took it to a third place to be fixed (not transmission), and they agreed with what Marshall's said. Marshall's Transmission is an honest and professional place for service.

I've had my van back for a tad over a week and my transmission is messed up again. I was told this was the best company to go to and well I guess not. It's expensive to fix a transmission and now I have to put out even more money

Marshall's Transmission is the place to go, very knowledgeable with all transmissions. Laura answered the phone and all of my questions. Well I got my 2000 F250 back 2 weeks ago and it just towed another work truck back to my shop on a trailer from Oklahoma 450 miles non stop no problems.
