The Main Street Abbey is a stunning venue, they have done a beautiful job renovating the old ICS church into a wedding space that will soon have a restaurant and hotel rooms, bring an wonderful attraction to small-town Columbia; but I do have to say that the communication with our Event Coordinator and Event Manager could have been better. I felt that my bridal party and I were pretty thorough in our communication but there were various details that were missed, especially during the set up for the reception to name one. I did create a main detail binder and passed that along to our Event Coordinator to use for the set up of the reception as well as my bridal party because I knew they weren't going to remember all of the details that I had told them. I was later told by my MOH that the binder couldn't be found and was never used, which could have eliminated a lot of the headache my bridesmaids had to go through with that reception set up. When you spend that kind of money for a wedding, you expect communication. Overall, it was a magical day at a beautiful venue, but the experience would've been better with communication and quicker assistance from our Event Coordinator.

It is a beautiful venue, but the line of communication is horrible. We were told so many different things, and each person put it off on each other. When you spend that kind of money, you expect communication. We were told we could prepare for the wedding after rehearsal, and after rehearsal, they said that they would have to charge. On the day of the wedding that started at 4:30, we were not able to decorate or get in the building until 2:00 and that included the wedding party as well. We had to set up for the wedding and get the bridal party together. ( hair, makeup, and dresses for a party of 8 in 2.5 hours. There was no lead way at all, even when setting up the venue. You ask for something, and they take their time getting it to you even when you're crunched for time. It was a beautiful ceremony, but the experience would've been better with communication and quicker assistance.

Neat place to have a wedding. This is an old church that has been converted to be used for these types of events. Wedding and reception are held in the same main room. After the wedding all the guests are directed to a pavilion next to the old church (open air) where they are to wait until the chairs have been removed and the tables set up for the reception. Food was okay for this type of venue. We had an enjoyable time.

What a lovely setup here. This was our 1st outdoor event of the season and it was great night to try out this venue. A friend told us about the Tuesday night specials here which tonight's was build your own pizza. They serve very reasonably priced alcohol and have live music. Music was a tad loud but the guy probably turned it up bc he was outdoors. The pizza was so so but maybe my impression is influenced by my choice of toppings: bacon, tomato, pineapple and black olives. I should have added chicken too. Please note that this event was held on covered patio which is next door to the old church or "Abbey". They had the church/abbey open so I went in to see all updates. Really a very nice space. Haven't been to anything held there so I can't say more than it looks nice.

We had the privilege of taking wedding photos at Main Street Abbey a couple of months ago, and it was an amazing experience. The venue is gorgeous, and Ryan, the manager, is helpful, present, responsive, and wonderful to work with. I would recommend them to anyone! Five stars is not enough!

I photographed Courtney and Nick's lovely fall wedding day this past October here at Main Street Abbey! I highly recommend it for any couples looking for a solid, all-in-one venue for their big day. Definitely go out for night photos on the patio. The warmth of the string lights make for some really rad photos!

Beautiful venue for a wedding. The adjoining outdoor covered patio is very nice, as are both bridal suites. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and had great suggestions for a future bride.

A beautiful venue with great amenities. The staff is very helpful. The venue campus is expanding, so speak to the planners to find out what will be available when you book. Great location on main street. Only a short drive from St. Louis.

The wedding venue was very beautiful! I loved the architecture and feel of the place. Perfect for a simple, but elegant wedding!Setup/transition between ceremony and reception was a little chaotic. The outdoor area was nice, but very hot on a summer day. The swing outside is adorable Parents should know that there is a ladder in the balcony that was not blocked off that leads to an attic. There were tons of little kids climbing up there over an open staircase. ?Overall, it was a great venue as a wedding guest. ?

This venue is amazing. Absolutely beautiful, clean, and the staff was extremely professional and friendly. We had planned for a different ceremony venue and Covid happened. We found The Abbey by accident and we’re so lucky to book less than a year before our big day. They were very accommodating seeing as we only needed the space for the afternoon. We also utilized the event space next to the venue for our rehearsal dinner. The staff and bartenders were amazing. My only issue was the response time. It took days to receive an email back. We could never reach anyone by phone. Communication was difficult, and there were some point of contact changes. I felt that they could be a little more budget friendly. The cost was high for the 4 hour time slot.In the end we were happy with our day. Ryan, our final coordinator, was extremely friendly and flexible. It was a pleasure working with him in our final days.

We had our wedding at the Abbey over the weekend and I am beyond amazed at this venue and staff. Rachel was a dream to work with! She is very responsive, very helpful, and has an eye for detail. Everything was absolutely perfect. The day went by so smoothly, zero stress, and most importantly everything was EXACTLY what I dreamed my wedding would be. This venue is jaw dropping when you go in, but then add the brides vision and the abbey team, and it is seriously the most stunning venue. I can not stress how amazing our wedding was because of this venue and staff.
