I always choose this location. Today we caught a rainbow in the background.

There should be an option for a -5 (negative) star. I was at the Columbia illinois office this pass Friday about being tired of getting mail for the last homeowner. The lady behind the counter took a memo of it and said it won't happen again. Well today (Monday), guess what? It happened yet again.... I could understand if we've only been here less than a year but been here for 2 YEARS. I GUESS FEDERAL OFFICIALS HIRE PERSONAL WITHOUT COMMEN KNOWLEDGE. Come on people get your head out of your asses.

Would be nice if they made an attempt to knock on the door instead of just putting a notice, of no authorized recipient available, straight in the mailbox.

Once again the individual delivering the mail does not even attempt to see if anyone is home and just puts the notice of failed delivery attempt in the mailbox. If you never even try to see if someone is home, then don't make this type of delivery an option.

Had a great experience at the Columbia Illinois post office today, man helped us get passport photos and prepare our packet to mail in, awesome professionalism and courtesy.

I ordered a package from Amazon. It said Columbia, IL USPS delivered my package. Once I checked my mailbox there was NOTHING in there but the large Dropbox key for large packages. I opened the box & it was an Amazon package for another residence. I had no package with my name on it. So I had to leave the key in the key hole so that my neighbor could get their package. The carrier put the key for her package in my mailbox. Thank God people dnt steal where I live. Meanwhile, the mail carrier showed negligence not only for me but my neighbor as well. CRAZY!

Update: My experiences lately have been super pleasant! John is my go to for our account priority mailings. Even David has been very pleasant and helpful. I enjoy my weekly runs now at this location. They’re fast, friendly, and efficient.Carol is always nice, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Poorly managed, new postmaster. unsafe facility with violent, unstable employees.

Carol is nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. My experiences have been bad most times, unless Carol helps. I come here to do the same thing every week. You’d think the guys would’ve caught on by now. I can’t send co-workers alone to send things with an account number because they act like we’re the only business in town who sends things with an account number. There’s one guy who gets it, but he’s rarely there. If you see Carol, I’d wait for her….

Came here to get my application for a passport completed and mailed and although I was running late for my scheduled appointment they were extremely nice about it and still helped me. They also provide photo service here as well for the passport photos.

Very poor service, mail is consistently (2+weekly) delivered to the wrong addresses. I have reached out to the post master multiple times with no change. We constantly get other people's mail. Not even close to us. Don't know what's going on in this office but it's horrible. Mail was great up until I moved to New address in April of 2020. Since then it has been nothing but a headache. They have told me that they have spoken with the mail person that serves our neighborhood but that did nothing.

It's hard to set the bar lower than my local post office does. Apathetic is my best one word description of my treatment on almost every visit. There is a reason the USPS is a failure and it starts with the staff's attitude.
