Amazing camps, safe and clean facility and everyone is so welcoming. My daughter has been going to Double J since she was little for camps and birthday parties. Now 6 years later, she takes professional lessons at Double J and Johnson Equestrian. Super happy with her Trainor and the progress she has been making.

Incredible place to host a birthday party! The staff are patient, kind, and very professional. The grounds and animals are beautiful!

I had a terrible experience at this horse riding ranch. It was clear that the owners don't care about the well-being of their horses. The horses looked malnourished, had matted coats, and were visibly exhausted from being overworked. The stables were poorly maintained and smelled strongly of manure, and the horses' water troughs were dirty and algae-filled. The staff seemed disinterested and untrained, and didn't even bother to check if riders had prior experience or knew how to handle the horses. I witnessed a few instances of the staff being rough with the horses, and it was clear that they had no respect for the animals they were supposed to be caring for. Overall, I would not recommend this horse riding ranch to anyone who cares about animal welfare.

We love this farm! Our 3 year old son goes to many of the one off classes and just started their farm school and he loves all of it. The teachers are very warm, and the permissive environment makes children feel comfortable when away from parents for the first time.We also did our son’s 3rd bday party here and the kids absolutely loved it.

Very educational and family friendly. They were great with young kids, I would recommend them again.

Field trip went excellent! Chloe was a great host and all of our participants loved to feed the horses our special cookies and to pet the pigs!

A great place for young kids and field trips! The back slope is a little hard to walk down with no railing, so if you have anyone with mobility concerns, go slowly.

We have been loyal patrons for a year now @ Double J, today when I had to reach out to the owner Cindy to have a conversation with her about her employees inappropriate actions, explaining how I did not think we will be attending classes any longer, she simply hung up on me.

If you want your child to have a unique and magical experience, look no further! Someone could seriously write a children's book about this special place. It's wonderful. :)The first program my daughter attended was their Animal Adventure summer camp. She loved it so much we decided to enroll her in Farmhand 101, which is a class she has been attending once a week. In this class they get to do age appropriate farm chores and get to know all the animals. There are a myriad different animals to befriend! (My personal favorite being Cindy the turkey!) They all have fun names and you can tell they are very loved and well cared for.The instructors are very knowledgeable and kind. They all have lots of experience working with animals and share a lot of great information with their students. There's a wide variety of classes, many on weekdays being for homeschooled kids, which I really appreciate! .I could go on and on about how great this place is, but you'll just have to go see it for yourself!

Perfect little farm nestled in the western suburbs. The staff is friendly and has horse riding options and just a fun place to visit with little ( and big ) kids. They have a variety of animals and allow for an intimate experience. We took a private tour and the kids were able to feed and pet animals and ask questions about the environment and care of the animals. The staff was very patient with the questions and children in general.

Rating it a one star until the class is actually taken . Just want to offer my experience with them so far . I had booked a tiny rider class for my god son who loves horses . Mom got the times mixed up and showed at a different time . The employee told her to email them for the class to be rescheduled she made it seem as if it could be . Mom then emailed them To see if the class could be rescheduled I understand it was moms fault for mixing the times up . Yet as a FIRST time customer maybe an exception could of been made . Unfortunately they flat out said no . I will be rebooking the class as I promised my godson and has been eagerly waiting to be able to ride on the horsey horse as he calls them , and writing up a follow up rating but as of now due to customer service I'm rating it a 1 star .

This is the first negative review I have ever posted online. I had my son's birthday party here last September. It was an extremely traumatizing experience for my 7 year old son and his friends. We were advised prior to the party to not have parents stay, which I understood due to the pandemic. However, some parents still stayed to keep an eye on their kids, which thankfully they did. During the horseback riding session, the staff put one of the smaller children in our group on one of the larger horses. While she was riding the horse, the horse went completely out of control. This 6 year old tried to hold on with her life, as the staff all stepped back and did not do anything to help. During this episode, the staff were clueless on how to get this horse back in control or what to do. They all looked shocked, confused, and motionless. Instantly, myself and the other parents that stayed, ran in to grab the other kids before they got trampled on by this out of control horse. The 6 year old flew off the horse and fell on her head and arm. Ambulance came and she was taken to the hospital for x-rays. I understand we sign waivers, but you assume they have basic knowledge on how to handle horses/situations, and you literally are not signing your child's life away! However, the staff handling the horses were young kids and had no idea what they were doing. Not professional staff, entirely inexperienced, and no follow up with a even a partial refund for what I paid. Not about the money for me, It was just an extremely traumatizing day for us without any assistance from the staff.

Our children have had an incredible time taking several classes and horseback riding lessons. They have been treated like family. Wonderful experiences all around.
