This is our first year at Little Learner Children’s Academy Crest Hill, enrolling our son at 3 months old, and we are extremely happy with our decision. LLCA has always made us feel welcome and the staff always has a smile on their faces.Ms. Nyah has helped our now 6 month old exceed his milestones and he is happy and comfortable when he enters her classroom and sees her.We are continually impressed with her lesson plans for the infants, often getting updates, and keeping them on track for their ages, developmentally. We whole-heartedly recommend Little Learner Children’s Academy for children’s early education.

I am not one to write a 1-star review, and this may be my first, but they deserve it. I will say on the outset, I am sure there are no issues with how they treat the kids. Ours was happy, and the younger staff was friendly. The issue is wholly with how they treat their clients, the parents.First incident was in 2021: When the government's advanced child care credit was announced, Little Learner's sent out a flier to let everyone know that the prices were going up, coincidentally by the same amount of the announced monthly distribution amount. convenient. The flier established a date for the change a few weeks in advance, which at least gave some notice for parents to make some decisions. Not more that two days later they send out an email stating they had accidentally sent out the wrong date, and that they would be raising rates in 3 days from the date of the correction notice. This was something like a 60% increase with less than a weeks notice. When i went to get my kid that afternoon there were two mothers pleading, on inconsolable, asking what they were supposed to do, and asking for an extension because that was all they could afford and didn't have time (3 days - which as you may know could take weeks) to get them enrolled somewhere else. The head of the school couldn't care less, and just said there wasn't anything they could do, they could not make exceptions, and wished them good luck. I pulled my kid that day. I have all the email documentation and correspondence to back this all up in-case they try responding to this review saying it was any different. Feel free to contact me. Also seeing similar issues with other parents being given some amount of time only to have it retracted. This is reprehensible behavior. Admitting you made a mistake is all fine and good; owning the consequences as well is what makes you respectable. Well, that is, it would be if that is what was actually done. Interestingly, you don't afford parents the same two week notice that you demand demand from them when then withdraw.Fast forward to today: Our in-home daycare provider has newly discovered health issues that has required her to close her daycare business, and so that left us looking again for the youngest. It is very difficult finding a place that will work with a nurse's schedule which is not set days of the week, so we were surprised when they told my wife they would be happy to accomodate 3 days a week with a fluctuating schedule. Of course, before they would talk price we would need to take a tour, despite us having been there before. She takes her morning off to go to the tour and pricing meeting and was told she needs to have a fixed schedule. cool. The owner was called because we insisted that shed been told 3 days would be fine with fluctating schedules, but then she was told that iff we wanted to do 3 days we would have to pay drop in fees $75/day on top of regular tuition. But as an alternative, they suggested we could just pay the full $1300/month for 5 days, because wouldn't it be nice to get our shopping and chores done? how cute. never mind that a maid would be cheaper than the difference. Between the bait and switch tactics, the "tour" which is really just a sales meeting, and the lack of care for other parent's I witnessed over covid, these people should be running a timeshare, not a daycare.

I'm a current parent. My daughter has been at this location for two weeks after being enrolled at their Plainfield location for 3 years. This move was unplanned as their Plainfield location closed unexpectedly and only provided us with two weeks notice. This transition has been undoubtedly difficult on my almost 4 year old. However, the staff at this location has shown a lack of empathy for my toddler. I understand that my toddler has been acting out, but I would assume that's normal for this type of change. She is overwhelmed and struggling to manage these big feelings. Not excusing the behavior...but children deserve empathy too. I'm giving 3 stars because my toddler seems to like the school and is always happy to go.

I strongly recommend this center as a place to work! We are very family oriented, and working for little learner children's academy has amazing perks! Our Directors give a lot of hands on training and dedicate time to help learn!

My school-age children go there for before care. I have to say as being a family that trying to adjust with everything going on in the world today. They really work with you and have compassion for you and your family. Miss Leslie and Theresa are outstanding.

Being a parent one of the hardest things to do is entrust another person with your child. I have no doubt the directors (Leslie and Robby) and the teachers are taking great care of my princess. She comes home so excited talking about her friends and how much she loves her teachers. She has learned soo much and is becoming the smartest little girl. I love getting her daily reports and seeing the pictures. I would absolutely recommend llca of crest hill!

Little Learner Children's Academy is an amazing place! My kids love it! They started going there on July 2020 and they really enjoy being there! And it says a lot about how good they feel going to Little Learner's !Teachers are great, they are professionals, providing a safe environment for kids to grow and learn something new everyday! Recommend this place from my own personal good experience. Give it a try if you are looking for a good daycare for your little one!

The directors and team at Crest Hill are AMAZING! With all the kids that come in and out, they know them all by name and the parents! Due to covid, we have to drop at the door, but she never even has to ask me who I am there to pick up. She knows and cares about my son!My son and I were in a building fire the summer before he started preschool. Everyone evacuated safely, but it left my son very anxious about fire detectors, alarms and extremely nervous in those situations. Leslie (One of the directors) and his teachers take extra care to keep an eye on him each month they have fire drills. She sends out a notice to all families about the drill and then PERSONALLY emails me about how my son reacted to the drill! With the support and compassion of his teacher, he seems to be letting go of that anxiety and fear during fire drills. I know that is due to their continuous reassurance and support. I can't thank them enough for not only teaching my son, but giving him a safe and loving environment when I am working. It gives me piece of mind to leave them in their care and he always has the biggest smile on his face when I pick him up! He shares about all the fun things he did each day our entire ride home. I definitely recommend LLCA- Crest Hill.

What can I say about LLCA!? This facility it truly amazing! All the staff have been such a beautiful blessing in our lives. When looking for a daycare/preschool for our daughter it came down to a place that feels like home. Which is exactly what every teacher and staff member makes you feel here. They truly care about our daughter and want to see her grow it all aspects of life. Our daughter has grown so much socially, emotionally and academically since starting in August 2021. She loves her teachers and enjoys going to school. They greet each child everyday with smiles and hugs! Which we love! The curriculum is also really wonderful and she has learned so much in the past 9 months, as an educator myself this was truly a key point in selecting a facility that sets the bar high academically. LLCA does just that!We highly recommend sending your child(ren) to Little Learners!!!

My daughter has been going to this school since September 2022 and I can already see a great difference in her behavior. She loves her teachers (Miss Amanda, Miss Mahalia and Mr Jordan) and always wants to go to school. The classrooms are always clean. I would recommend this school.

They don't even deserve 1 star. They are scam artists. Beware. I received state aid and they would lie to the state and tell them my son attended more days than he actually attended to receive more money. Then weeks after I took my son out of their care, they tried to tell me I owed them a ton more money. I have spent months trying to work out how it is possible to owe them money when I paid every payment and received state aid. Not only that, but 2 months after ending our contract while in constant contact with them trying to go over all of this, (I put in the appropriate 2 weeks notice and paid all of my tuition and our contract had ended) They tried to charge my card without any authorization and are now trying to charge me an extra $35 fee on a payment they had no authorization to charge. I have multiple statements where they have changed the cost and changed payment amounts. I even have a statement showing they over charged days to the state. I will be reporting them to the state for fraud and contacting my attorney to handle them trying to charge my card without authorization. The staff there are very nice but the owners only care about a paycheck, they do not care about the kids.

Today I received a phone called from the day care to let me know that it was the last day at the day care. I didn’t get an opportunity to talk to the director. After I been taking my son for 4 years. After all the changes with the other teacher. This place has been so unprofessional. Today I received a phone call that he was let go due to behavior. Every time will stop by to pick up my child the kids were running all over the place. My son goes to pre-K school in the morning, he will go half days to school and they want him to take naps from 12:00 to 3:00 pm and they expect your money every week. If you take days off they will not deducted. Is not fair that they treat you the way that treat my son. I'm glad I save all this time money you guys did me a favor. Awesome ?
