To put it short, this store has rekindled my long lost joy for reading. Their selection feels very carefully hand picked, as there’s always something that jumps out at me every time I go in. I love perusing the shelves and choosing what to read next, or even just coming in to say hi to George. This is my go-to book store

Located on the parking lot side of Brink Street Market in downtown Crystal Lake, Abalabix Books is a small, independent bookstore that seeks to fill a literary void in our community by becoming a haven for literary interaction and intellectual stimulation. We are a bookstore that exists to foster the love of reading in people through all the ages and stages of their lives. A gathering place to talk, rest, relax, read, and learn that becomes a cornerstone of our community.
