We purchased a home with a central vac system and had never used one, so I reached out to Central Vac and Tom responded. He answered questions and even requested pics so that he didn't send me down a wrong path.
I was never pushed for a sale and weeks later ended up upgrading our 25 yr old central vac system. Tom, again, helped out and even threw in some fittings so that I would have everything I needed. With what he sent, installation/replacement only took me about 15 min.
I absolutely recommend Central Vac for their knowledge, expertise, and selection. Ask for Tom if you call or email.

Great service. I ordered the wrong hose. Got on the phone and they quickly figured out the correct one I needed and shipped it out. Will definitely use again.

Took over 2 months for a repair that cost $160.00. Service department person extremely rude . I will never go back!

The item ordered was on back order, it would have been nice for communication to automatically come from the company regarding the status (Amazon has spoiled the consumer).When I called the CS rep was courteous and made me aware of the situation. They offered to cancel the order if I desired. I canceled the order and within minutes my method of payment was refunded.You can't ask for much more, other than a little better proactive communication.

I needed to replace my powerhead for my central vac system. I got online and ordered what I thought was correct. The salesman called my number to confirm that I had the correct replacement. When I called, he asked me to text pictures of my powerhead. After I did, he called me and suggested a different powerhead that saved me $70. Way to go! That is great customer service.

Unfortunately, they had my vacuum for about a month, lost my vacuum, kept telling me every week when I called it, it would be done and it wasn't. And then, when I called to see if it was done, they couldn't find my vacuum, or my work order number. Another unfortunate part was that we wanted to buy another vacuum, but a stick vacuum that was cordless. Because of our experience, we decided not to purchase a vacuum from them because if it needed service, we didn't want to go through the same issues.

Called Central Vacuum Direct when our 20+ year old Beam Central Vacuum Power Head died. Tom was very helpful explaining various replacement options. Ordered over the phone and received the power head the very next day. Easily installed. Works better than our old one. 5 Stars!

I bought an attachment for my vacuum that had been discontinued through their Central Vacuum Direct website. The website claimed that they had the original Eureka attachment, and featured a photo. The item I received is generic junk. It does fit on my vacuum nozzle, but the brushes are not as high quality as the original, and it is nearly twice as wide and it has a floppy swivel hinge that makes it inconvenient for hand-held use, which is what the original was for. It's cheap junk and they charged me the same price as an OEM manufacturer part. I wanted to help small businesses, it being the pandemic and all, but dishonesty is not ok.

I recently purchased the Vroom Retract Vac from this company for Christmas for my husband. We realized that I purchased the wrong vaccuum (I meant to purchase the All in 1 kit) so I called them to ask to return it. I purchased on 11/23 and called on 12/28. They stated that since I was out of the 30 day return period (which I understand but technically 1 business day) that in order for me to return the product, I would have to pay for shipping to return the item (I GOT FREE SHIPPING FOR THE PRODUCT) and reduce the return amount by 6% credit card processing fee (on a $270 vacuum - you do the math). This is such poor customer service. In addition, the sales rep that took my call was not the most pleasant person which made me even more frustrated that I was being CHARGED to return the product. He almost seemed annoyed that he had to take my call because I made a simple mistake. I do not recommend this business solely because of them charging me over $40 to return a product.

I purchased two systems from Mid-American and I'm so happy. they are knowledgeable friendly and have wonderful customer service. You will not be upsold for products that you don't need the stores are convenient to get to and there is handicapped parking out front and the entrance is handicapped accessible. I would recommend MidAmerican to anyone who is considering purchasing a central vacuum system or in need of repair of one or in-home service.

Ryan came over and repaired our central vacuum. He new exactly what was wrong and gave me an estimate before he did the work. I would recommend VacuumGuys/Mid America Vacuum to all my friend's and anyone reading this. Thank you so much.

I have shopped for vacuum cleaners at Mid-West for 25 years. They are very professional and treat me like I am their most special customer. I love my Miele vacuum cleaners (I have bought two there over the years) and I will always make them my first stop if I need vacuum supplies.
