I went here to shop for some crystals. Overall, it was fine, I liked the variety they had, there were tons of products, but none of them caught my attention or seemed interesting. It was fairly crowded, and unfortunately most things were very expensive, at least compared to other places. The service was nice, but the employees were a bit pushy- but I want to clarify that this is absolutely not their fault. In other stores that are run by singular owners passionate about the products, the service is very different to places with employees who aren’t as invested in or passionate about the job, which is absolutely understandable because living is expensive and not everyone can necessarily work their dream job. Still, I would say the place feels a lot more like a business than other, more hobby-ish metaphysical stores.

If you are looking for relief from head, neck, and back pain, this is the place you need. Dr. Burney is very kind and explained in detail the root of my problem and how together we were going to correct it. What I liked the most was the corrective part, because as I learned, if the problem is not corrected and simply covered with medication or injections, it will always return. Thanks Evolve! 10/10

Always a fun and calming experience coming in. There’s always new products, and there’s soooooo much to look at- you could spend hours here. There’s a huge variety of different products! The staff is beyond friendly and helpful every visit. I would recommend stopping in even if you don’t plan on buying anything!

Swastika on rings and was told for spirituality.... Workers were polite, and oblivious, and did quick google search to say symbol has "Hindu" origins - will not be returning and letting fellow jews know as FYI .. pls be safe

I had a lovely interaction with the shop owners wife. I felt welcomed into the store and enjoyed the warm space they intended to create. I want to say it was peaceful, but after leaving the store I can’t say.
Outside of the interaction with her, I felt the energy was very off in the store. I was excited and full of energy to visit and explore. I left feeling drained with a headache which is odd especially leaving a metaphysical store you should feel refreshed and not drained. It felt as if there was some type of spell work being done in the store, and not the good kind. I came home to cleanse myself of the energy by calling my power back and focusing on the store. With that small ritual my headache went away, instantly to say the least.
I won’t be returning anytime in the near future because of this. Which is a shame because I love the variety of items that you can purchase in the store- the biggest variety I have seen in a metaphysical store that you can physically visit.
I don’t feel comfortable with my energy being tapped into and manipulated in some kind of way. I’m really hoping it wasn’t the shop owners but since I don’t know anyone personally there’s no telling who was behind the off balanced energy.
I hope the owners can address this concern. For the intention of creating a peaceful space I felt it right to say something in hopes of things getting better.

Inside is very hot even though there is fans. I had to go straight to my car after I got out for air conditioning. Smells good inside though and when you buy crystals they even give you cards that say what they do. Overall it was great!!

So going to evolve for about five years now on and off for being new to the area every single time the staff has been nothing short of amazing! The products and services are always top notch every single time, a beautiful store and team! Two days ago I went with my friend to see what was new and again always so amazed with what evolve has to offer Melinda helped me with all my questions and it really felt like a best friend experience cause she and of course the other workers really made it feel like I’m not a customer but like family! I will always be returning and recommending this establishment to everyone I know! You guys at evolve are not just a store but a safe haven GO TO EVOLVE everyone you WILL not regret it! Much love ❤️

I went into this shop last week. I was a bit disappointed with their book selection. I thought I would just pick up a tarot bag but for a one faux-plain velvet bag is was over $9 and the material was unraveling. I want to support local stores but I ended up ordering online through the evil empire (Amazon). For a little over $13 I received 9 bags with beautiful designs and better quality. What annoyed me most was no one was available to help... sort of. They greeted customers coming in but ignored me when I was looking for help before these customers entered. Did I look like I didn't have money? Did I not fit the mold of a Crystal Lake customer? They had some beautiful yoga cushions. The one I liked was missing a price tag. After trying to get someone's attention I finally just left. I could understand if it was very busy and they were short staffed but they weren't that busy. I don't know what the deal was but if they don't want my money I'll look to another independent shop.

I came here on a Friday a few weeks ago with my husband, he wanted to buy me some new jewelry. None of the rings were my style, so I settled on a necklace. The necklace was pretty, but it wasn't real gold, and didn't have the correct shade or yellow gold that matches the rest of my jewelry. I felt pressured to buy it, so we did. It was $65. I knew the moment we got home I wanted to return it. The women that helped me on the day I bought it were super nice. However, I decided to come back the following day and make a return. On that Friday, there were maybe 2 other people in the store and the incense was at a tolerable level. The next day, there were over 20 people in the store and a thick cloud of smoke covering the entire store. My lungs must not be very good, because i could barely breathe and I felt lightheaded, making me want to get out of there asap. I went to the front counter to make the return and a different woman helped me. She was very rude to me when I told her I'd like to make a return. I had the receipt and I had only worn the necklace once, I don't understand what her problem was. Anyway, she very cruelly said she couldn't refund my husband and instead gave me a gift certificate. I looked on the receipt, and no where did it say "no refunds", nor does it say that on their website or anywhere in the store (maybe I overlooked it but I doubt it). So why couldn't you refund my husband's card, which I brought, for almost $70? I wasn't going to sit there and argue with her so I took the certificate and left, all while holding my breath as much as possible. Not to mention there were children in there, and what about people with asthma? Did I mention the owner was lighting more as I was talking to the desk woman? Insane. I messaged them on Facebook to ask why I didn't get a refund, but no one responded and that was a week ago. I would like my husband to be refunded, as I can't breathe in that store and won't be back. The reason I'm being generous in giving 3 stars is because the women that helped us on the first day were so kind.

I have always loved Evolve and have shopped in person many times. Recently, I haven't been able to get in person so I ordered a mala necklace over the phone and had it shipped to me. The postal service lost it for a period of time and sadly it was a one of a kind. The owner worked with me to get a new necklace from the artist and shipped it to my parents house so maybe it wouldn't get lost/stolen, for no cost. Somehow, I ended up getting the original necklace and the new necklace in the same week. The owner let me pick which one I wanted and ship the other one back. I am extremely happy because the owner had amazing communication and worked diligently to make sure I was satisfied. I HIGHLY recommend shopping here!! The vibes at this store are amazing. I've never felt anything like it at another crystal shop. The crystals are quality and you can tell the workers and owner are very knowledgeable about all of the crystals. Don't go anywhere else for crystals, this is your sign to shop at evolve!

coolest metaphysical store in the Chicagoland, this place is a must visit. Even if you're not buying anything, come and see all they have to offer.
