From start to finish my experience working with Greg and Fireplace by Design was stellar!
Greg worked with me to select the right product for my basement remodel and his prices were the best of all the companies I researched. He handled all the work personally from submitting permits to installation of the unit and then came back for a follow up to clean, adjust and to provide instruction on how to to operate the system properly.
My remodeling contractor handled the final install of the mantle and stone but when any concerns came up I felt more comfortable calling Greg, who was always patient and available to answer my questions. And I'm confident should any future questions/issues arise, Greg will be there to handle them with the same professionalism and knowledge.
There are many fireplace companies out there and the product choices can be overwhelming. Greg at Fireplace by Design was the most responsive and price competitive to work with by far.

Greg was friendly, super knowledgeable and professional from the start. He came and did a site visit and consult with us, then provided some guidance and samples before scheduling the job. A few days of work and some last minute decisions wrapped up an amazing project that are super happy with. He'll be back to put something else in the basement when we finish that and I would highly recommend anyone give him a call whether you're in need of service, a renovation or, like us, a build from scratch.

We had to have our fireplace worked in, due to the previous installer going MIA, and faulty install.Greg did an amazing job!! Can’t say enough about how much I would say to call him

Added Ceramic logs to our gas start wood burning fireplace. He painted the back black and these logs sure do pop like he said! So happy we spent the money. Now we will enjoy warmth without cleaning out ashes!

Greg was great! He came to my home while I was planning to remodel my fireplace. He measured the opening and just ordered a Rainbow door for me, we are super excited for it to come in. He had some terrific ideas and also gave some suggestions to make sure our fireplace was safe and up to code. Thanks for your help!

We can not say enough great things about Greg and Fireplace by Design. We wanted to update our 22 year old fireplace and make it the focal point of the living room. Greg was very instrumental in the process, listening to our vision and helping us achieve a beautiful outcome. Greg was responsive, returning calls or emails, even while he was on vacation. His workmanship was superb, and his attention to details was excellent. He did a great job protecting the areas in worked in and left our home very clean at each days end. We highly recommend Fireplace by Design and Greg.

We wanted to have our fireplace updated and we scheduled a consultation with Greg who came out to our house to look at our existing fireplace. He gave us some good information and said that he would get back to us with an estimate in a few weeks. And then, nothing. I called the shop and left a message, emailed and texted him and he never responded. Very unprofessional. If he didn't want to or wasn't able to take the job, he should have been upfront and let us know. We went with another local company and were very happy with their service and communication.

Greg is knowledgeable and takes the time to explain every detail. Comes on time, is efficient,Answers all email questions in a timely fashion, answer phone calls promptly. You will be impressed with communication and customer service. Product seems like it will be great, but new at this point .

Greg did a wonderful job converting our existing wood burning fireplace to gas. He was knowledgeable, extremely professional, explained everything perfectly with an emphasis on safety. His price was reasonable and we couldn't be happier with the finished product. Would definitely recommend!
