“I was a bit nervous about staying in a new hotel. I usually have only one I stay in when I visit Illinois, but this one is my new favorite!I will be staying here again.The rooms are clean. The pool area was clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and we had no issues checking in.Thank you for a great stay! We will be back.”

“Everything was great the rooms were very comfortable the internet was suitable for me working. Only one negative and that's the only reason why it was four stars it had an extremely small size TVs in the bedrooms in the living room. I would have liked to seen a 55 in in the living room and maybe a 43 inch in the bedroom probably 50-inch maximum in the bedroom. I ended up watching movies on my phone because the TV was so small. They're very nice people and the bedrooms were very comfortable we're very comfortable. And it was close enough to Marengo for me”

“i'm very grateful for the river inn motel. in the past my husband and i stayed there for a few weeks then after an unfortunate eviction and my husband's disability we needed a bridge until we got into our new apartment. i was very impressed with the upgrades and with how super clean the rooms were from previous years prior. you do not have to worry about bugs at all! the owners son mitel was very sympathetic about our situation and needs. he was very accommodating and polite. *one tip: do not walk on thier propery and find yourself in there yard...oops i jumped thier fence to get over back to hotel side and because of this i got blamed for breaking a window in back...(if i did it i would take full responsibility) but, i came "home" after a long day of being iny hot car and interviewing to the news that i had 3 hours to pack up everything , load our car somehow that was already full, find a new motel...oh my god! i was told i had to be there by 9th. on the 9th early a.m my husband called to say we are on the way and guess what? everything got thrown away already. bunk shit right there! clothes fine but my bracelet my mother gave me on my wedding day, my paw print of my two lil furry babies, and my blanket as a little girl just given to me....gone :( no proof but "must of been me" due to my one night of walking around the motel and accidentally ended up in thier yard.”

“Reeks of pot when you walk in to register, but upstairs rooms did not. I've stayed here twice in the span of a year. Both rooms were clean, no bugs. Quiet enough that I didn't notice my neighbors - had a good night's sleep. Elevator is old & a little sketchy but functions.Water pressure & temp are good in shower.The place was busy, but check-in was easy, quick, friendly enough.I felt as safe as I ever have in a roadside motel.Breakfast was just a packaged cinnamon roll, but coffee was good, hot, and plentiful.Overall you get what you pay for. For less than $100/night, I'm satisfied with this place.”
