In July of this year, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was (and still is) very scary. And I was told I would need chemotherapy, which would make my hair fall out. So, I started looking for a wig shop and was incredibly blessed to find Lulu's Wiggin Out in Crystal Lake. Even before chemotherapy started, I visited Lulu’s to find out if I liked their store, their stock, and most of all, their personnel. And I did like… everything. I worked most closely with Maggie, one of their part-time employees, and she was great! She made me feel comfortable and helped me through the process of selecting a wig and the right color. She made the process much less scary than it could have been. If you want to meet Maggie, she only works Mondays, Wednesdays, and every other Saturday. I also interacted with Wendy, who was also very helpful. I was fitted for a wig and people tell me that they cannot tell that I am wearing a wig, which seems like a high compliment. I also purchased some truly lovely head coverings to wear when I’m not wearing the wig. Their store also has a variety of other really cute sweaters, tops, and fun merchandise.
I would highly recommend (and have done so) Lulu’s Wiggin Out to anyone!

What wonderful ladies I met here yesterday! The store was so fun and they had such beautiful things! I found a dress I really liked but I wasn't prepared to buy it yet. They offered to put it aside for me. I will definitely make this a must stop every time I am in downtown crystal lake!

I am going through chemo which is hard enough and then your hair falls out. Lulu’s helped me find a wig that looks amazing and natural. They were kind and comforting just when I needed it!

I specifically asked 4 human hair-got synthetic awful, I purchased 2 and 2nd 1 is like straw. Poor products horribly high prices for bad products!

So I took my mom to get a wig fitting because she wanted to have some fun wigs. We had a sales clerk name, Aaliyah, wonderful, wonderful person. The lady was fabulous patient with my mom and me you know sometimes we struggle a little with mobility so she took her time she made notes. She wrote everything down so we come for our next visit. It'll be easy for my mom to eliminate the things she didn't like because she narrowed it down to a couple, and that way we can retry them on and get a better feel for what is going to be a good fit for her but the sales clerk was fantastic so patient so kind easy-going assisting with color look shape style I can't say enough about how wonderful this girl was I highly recommend if you are in need of some wig For Fun for health for whatever your reason is this is a good place and they had so much cute stuff in the store. Definitely worth going to shop the store had the cutest accessories. They had cute clothing just fun store overall, so if you're in the area check it out.

I love this wig shop ! I got great help with picking out my wig. Patient staff and very helpful with all my questions. I'm happy I got a beautiful wig. I will definitely recommend this shop to my friends and family. I will be coming back for my future wigs.

This place is completely a rip off!! Stay away!!!! For $380 I paid for my wig (very simple, short and straight hair wig, not human hair), I realized there is no tag, no label, no instruction on the wig or the box when I got home and took a look at inside of wig and the box! There is absolutely zero information on what type of wig, what material, what brand or manufacturer for the wig I purchased from Lulu's Wiggin Out, plus they got me to sign the waiver! Somehow I didn't ask the staff why I needed to sign the waiver as I felt intimidated by the store staff. Staff didn't tell me any information about the wig, all I know is "not human hair", and the only information I got from the store is the wig coming from California that's why I had to pay $10 shipping fee for. Now I realized that the reason they ask customers to sign the waiver is to make sure no returns, no refund, no exchange no matter what happens, even if it's very bad quality or you have allergic reaction or under any circumstance! they take absolutely no responsibility or liability for any and all wigs they sell to customers, that might be the reason they took all identifying tag/label off from my wig and the box so I can't possibly trace it for the material, manufacturer, quality or the price!!!! It's pretty scary how they do business like this and how they treat customers specially a cancer patient like me, gives me chills when I think about it.....!! It's really sickening to take advantage of cancer patients like us, haven't we been through enough already??!!

I absolutely love this shop. Wendy is amazing, she really makes you feel special. Everyone there is exceptional and there merchandise is outstanding! I highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed.

The store front and inside seemed a bit misleading; i guess I was expecting an actual Wig shop with rows of wigs and styles to choose from. Unfortunately, if you're a serious wig buyer it's not the go-to spot. Expect some fun, one of a kind jewelry items and clothing. Maybe a few wigs for fun or costume.

I don’t know why but I was treated very rudely by 2 women in this store. Was just going to get a wig cap & one snapped at me in a nasty tone, asking if I bought my wig there. The other clerk acted like I was an imposition. A rather depressing, dark lit shop besides. There are other wig shops in area. Never again!
