We highly recommend working with Mayfair Carpet and Furniture. This is our second time buying carpet with installation at Mayfair and we have dealt with Dean on both occasions. He is excellent to work with by being so professional, knowledgeable, and always following through. Additionally, the installers, for both jobs, were just phenomenal and their workmanship was fantastic! They transformed all of the areas without damaging the newly painted spaces, communicated well and you cannot even see the seams of where the carpet meets. It’s amazing. Thank you for two jobs well done. Can’t wait for you to do the next area of the house!!

We purchased new carpet from Mayfair on 9/25/23, and we absolutely love it. Dean is extremely knowledgeable and guided my husband and I to the perfect type of carpet for high traffic areas. We were expecting the carpet to take 3-4 weeks to be installed, but within 2.5 weeks they called to schedule installation. The installers were fantastic! They were very careful with moving our furniture and were respectful of our furniture. Once they began putting the new carpet down they took their shoes off, which I thought was extremely respectful. My only recommendation would be for them to call to let people know if the installers are running behind. Our install window was between 1-3 and the installers showed up at 3:45. While I completely understand things happen, a little heads up would have been appreciated. That being said, that slight hiccup doesn't take away from the fact that everyone with Mayfair was fantastic to work with. If you are looking for new carpet, you need to talk to Dean he will absolutely guide on you to the right carpet for your families needs.

Recently had an excellent experience with Mayfair for a carpet purchase and install. We did the whole upstairs, 3 rooms plus stairs. Carpet pricing with all the options and installation can be very confusing and hard to compare. I went to every carpet store in the area and Mayfair had the best value. It was easy to work with the Mayfair sales rep Ariel and Jason the installer was professional and did a great job. I highly recommend them and don't think you can find a better value at other carpet dealers or big box stores. It's so nice to have our old carpet replaced with a great quality product. A big thanks to the team at Mayfair!

Start to finish a great experience. Dean, in the showroom, was very knowledgeable about flooring products. We put a combo of LVP and carpet in our basement. He recommended a great pad and helped us with color combos. The installers were fantastic. Great work with attention to detail. They had different crews install the LVP and carpet. Both crews were very professional with consideration for our house. Drop cloths were put on the flooring to get to the work area and the left the areas clean when they left. Great experience (again) with Mayfair. We love the results!

It's a great experience if don't upset the apple cart. I bought 2 area rugs from Dean. I brought home a sample before the rugs were cut and then decided the color was wrong. I went to the store 2 days later to cancel my order. Dean was not happy, to say the least. I guess seeing his commission disappear was too much for him. He became rude and dismissive. I spent over $15K in furniture there years ago. The staff was excellent then but that is no longer the case.

I visited Mayfair carpet on satisfied friends recommendation andwas greeted by Dean. Dean not only went out of his way to explain the different grades of quality in padding in carpeting, but when an attractive sale price came available on day later on better carpeting I liked, came available he informed me and offered me the option in place of my choice, which I took. The price was exactly at my price point which I had previously been unable to find, and for better carpeting. Dean arranged for installers Jason and Jose to install my carpet and they did a phenomenal job. They moved the big furniture and returned it to the exact spot the pieces were previously. The cleanup was no less impressive. I wouldn't hesitate to refer Mayfair and Jason and Jose to anyone.

Installed cream Berber - despite recent rainy, muddy weather both workman kept going in and out of the house in their shoes and then onto the carpet w/o booties. ( let alone my runner to the 2nd floor) Left a vm bout it-never heard back. Never given any documents on care of the carpet etc .have 1 piece of paper for the purchase. No follow up on install or my vm. A week later I called to get instructions on removing stains and was told “check the mfg’s website”. I was left with the feeling that they’d been paid and that’s all they cared about

Had a horrible experience with carpet purchase. … color installed was NOT the color I selected. I took the swatch in of what I selected and a piece of what was installed and they could see a clear difference , but offered to do NOTHING about it ! I should have pursued this further but I was so disgusted and disappointed !

Not the same customer service as in previous years. Anxious to make sales, but not knowledgeable about their furniture, especially the furniture on clearance. Felt once the sale was made there was no interest in delivery options.

The furniture quality is poor and Mayfair does not warranty their products. This was this worst purchasing experience I have experienced. I purchased a table and after 3 days the table leg broke. I tried to contact Mayfair for weeks to receive a credit or repair and they basically were unwilling to even review the table or try to make any accommodation because the item was on sale. A customer should have the expectation of a table lasting more than three days whether on full price or a sale item.

They outsource their installation work to the most rude, mocking, unprofessional crews I've ever seen. Not only that, but they're thieves!!! If you take any chances letting these people into your home, DO NOT take your eyes off them, otherwise you never know what might suddenly go missing...Editing to reply.1) Your employees also ate candy sitting on the window sill and left the wrappers, so that points to how much they care about respecting other people's personal belongings.2) Your department head intentionally LIED TO and DECEIVED my mom when she went in to discuss additional issues with your work.I will say that after being confronted, the department head owned up to his lies and credited us the amount for the STOLEN controller. However, it seems to me that taking responsibility and owning up to missteps is apparently not something this company values upfront.

I wish I would have read some of these reviews before contracting them. We recently purchased a house in Crystal Lake and contracted them to add hardwood flooring in a room. Dean was excellent to work with but the crew and project manager did an awful job matching the stain. (see picture)Their customer service was awful and the accounts receivable person hung up on my wife.They ended up charging us 20% higher than the original quote because they messed up mixing stain. When we tried to dispute and come to a resolution, we couldn't come to an agreement and they said they would send us to their lawyer.

I went in looking for a vinyl flooring 6 mm thickness and 20 ml wear layer and the bulk of what they had was wood core which of course is not totally waterproof. There's a lot of pounding and noise from tile setters that were removing Stone and it was disconcerting at best...and the fellow who was there really didn't seem to want to help at all. I was not being pushy I just needed help and it wasn't there to be had
