Our first time in the store, shopping for a mattress.Greeted (with a smile) by Salesperson Dan, who escorted us to the mattress department, and showed us options based on our needs.Everyone we came in contact with was so friendly. Nobody was pushy. Great atmosphere to shop in.We came back several days later to purchase, and it was effortless.Thank you Dan and Steinhafel's!

I have to share my recent purchase at Steinfeld on Butterfield Rd in Lombard.On Sunday, 10th we placed an order for an entertainment center. We told the salesperson that we wanted to pay by check and I would have the money transferred to my checking account by Tuesday, He said, ok, let me write to order and get it into the system to hold your product I came back Monday to pay in full, and I was told that the order had been cancelled, since it was not paid for. It was reentered.My delivery date was set for Tuesday, 3-19 and I would be notified 2 days before delivery with a 2-hour delivery window. Sunday at noon, I received a text that my delivery time of between 4:30 and 6:30 on Tuesday, 3-19. I replied “yes” and I was told an email would be sent with more specific information. Later that afternoon. I remembered another commitment I had that day. I sent a text back at 4:48 that day saying “is there any way to make the delivery time earlier in that day?I did not receive any information back from the store, so I called them at 10:03 AM on Monday and explained my situation. I was told that the delivery was cancelled and I had to pay another $189 for a new delivery since I didn’t cancel 36 hours before the delivery date. I mentioned my test message on Sunday, and I was told that their system didn’t receive text messages, and that the delivery date starts at 12:01AM on the DATE of delivery, not 36 hours before the time of delivery, and that my order had been placed on a truck on Sunday, and then it had to be removed, that’s why I was charged.I tried escalating to several levels of management and was told repeatedly that this was their policy.Well, my policy is to not do business with stores that don’t care about the customer, so I forfeited my $189 delivery fee and cancelled my $2,200 order. I will never set foot into this store again. BTW- I’m still waiting for a call back from the GM, who I was told on Monday would be calling me around 11:00AM on Tuesday.

I recently went to steinhafels looking for a new mattress. I had shopped several mattress stores. Steinhafels price was competitive. Besides the salesperson was most knowledgeable, diane Didier at the crystal lake, il store. She was attentive to my needs and price range. Bought from her. I highly recommend steinhafels and particularly diane.
