The edge is a great place to workout. The facility is clean, organized and accessible to all. I would recommend the Edge to anyone looking for a new place to workout!

Hey we really enjoy coming here except for the music. You have younger people working here but it's more middle age to older people during the day and this music (rap) you have on is so depressing and not uplifting for working out. Come on! It's just awful.

How is this gym never clean despite the fact getting charged for an "annual cleaning fee" every month. It smells like it has never been cleaned. Machines are always broken and it just opened. If that's not enough, the high school kids running around like it's chuck e. cheese will help your guest experience. Some of the employees are the rudest people I've ever seen, how you conduct that way when you're working SALES is crazy.Bottom line if you want an unclean gym with a ton of hidden fees while being talked down upon this place is perfect!

My wife and I really enjoy working out here. They keep the equipment in great shape and the club is kept very clean! We also love the smoothie bar and the employees are very friendly! The other thing we really like is that the crowd is made up of younger and older people and very fit to people just starting to work out. Anyone would feel comfortable working out here!

Excellent gym in terms of value/cost. Best I've ever seen. I've been a member of five different gyms over the past 20 years including Lifetime fitness and Edge Fitness offers the best value.

The price is unbeatable for amazingly maintained equipment. The best part of coming to edge unlike competitors is they have a staff around the clock cleaning equipment so you can ensure it will always be clean!

The EDGE Club in Crystal Lake, Illinois, has one employee who stands out...His name is "Anthony." He explained everything when I met him while joining a few months ago.. He was extremely kind, helpful, answered all of my questions and took me for a nice tour of the facility...He's a big reason why I decided to join..I do love the facility..As a former U.S. Marine, he has the perfect skill sets as required for his current role (Membership of new prospective members) He's also able to do some Personal Training when needed..I am retired and would love an opportunity to sign up new clients..As a former U.S. Marine as well, I do have similar skill sets as described above with "Anthony." Thanx for a great fitness experience at the EDGE Fitness Club!

I love this gym! Reasonable priced, large, awesome equipment, and more! It's a very unique place with my favorite area being the cinema room. You work out on cardio machined while watching a movie and they always have great options and new releases! A great way to get cardio in while being distracted by a movie! I do also enjoy the womens area as the normal gym can get crowded (I've only gone during busy times due to work). The equipment is new and clean. The locker rooms are clean and nice as well and offer a sauna inside! They do offer a tanning bed and massage area for an extra cost as most gyms do! They also have a shake bar where you can grab a protein shake on the way out! This place also offers a variety of work out classes that I need to go in and try! Very friendly staff and always an enjoyable experience. Now as I see a lot of negative reviews due to lack of space and too many members, but I feel like that has come with majority of my gym memberships in the past. Depending on the time of day it can get very busy and you may have to wait for equipment. I feel as if that is standard knowledge especially at a cost efficient gym that many people can afford. But keep in mind this place is huge and offers a ton of different equipment!

I haven't had a gym membership since COVID hit us and now after two long years began my search to find a new gym to call my new home. The Edge Fitness Clubs quickly caught my eye because it's so close to my house so I decided I was going to give them a shot. So I visited their website and signed up and almost immediately I was contacted by someone from their gym via text message. Cool, this is fine, the year is 2022, and texting is alright, I guess. I went back and forth with the gentlemen and told him I could try to get over to the gym AFTER 8pm for a complimentary workout. He says OK. So later that day I get a text message confirming my appointment for 8pm. This was quite a shocker to me as I told him I couldn't make until after 8pm, for the reason being that I had to put my kids to bed first before I could go to the gym...Anyways, I arrive to the gym around 9pm and ask for the gentlemen.I was greeted by a young girl and she said he's gone for the day but I can help you. She asked, how my day was and I told her I was tired but I'm here and she says me too, I'm ready to go home. This should have been my clue as to how service is presented at this gym. The very first thing she asks me was has anyone gone over pricing with you yet? I said no, as I just got there and this was a big surprise for me as typically things like cost of membership is done after the tour and presentation of the gym. Being in sales, I know you want present your product to the highest regard and show the benefits BEFORE discussing any sort of pricing. She goes over the pricing memberships with me and please HEED MY WARNING, if you don't take anything from my review please understand what I'm about to write. There are 3 pricing tiers, red (low-end), fit (mid), and total (high). FOR THE FIRST YEAR YOU MUST SIGN A 1-YEAR CONTRACT. So that means if you work out for a month and decide that this gym is not for you and try to cancel the membership you must pay the remaining year balance before they let you out of your membership. In all my years of working out at gyms (over 25 years) I've never been asked to sign a year contract. It's always been month to month thing. Ok now we got that out of the way. For their red (low) membership it's only $14.99/month which is great! But wait :) here's the kicker...when choosing this membership there is a processing fee tax of $17.40/ month which in reality the membership is $32.39 per month and an enrollment fee of $59.99 and a enhancement fee of $49.99 which will be billed 3 months after your sign up date. Are you still following me? If you decided that the red plan is not right for you then you can sign up for their fit or total plan. If you go with those plans they will waive the $17.40 processing fee tax, how convenient and scummy of them to offer it for the higher tier plans when absolutely nothing changes to how I sign up from the low end plan to the mid to the top tier plan. It just seems like some distasteful used car salesman tactics to make you sign up for the higher end plans. Another thing I'd like to note is you only are allow free guest passes when you sign up for the total plan. I said to the young girl, "if I sign up for the red or fit plans, I'm not allowed to bring in guests to work out with me? Isn't it in the best interest of the gym that I bring in other people to work out with me to try out your gym?" She said, "that's a corporate decision." Yikes. So she gets through the pricing plan and at the end she goes, "how does this sound?" I said ok. Then I stood there. Then she says ok. Then I stood there for 5 more seconds in silence and it got really awkward and then I said OK again, and stood there for 5 more seconds. Getting even more awkward... Then she says, "which plan would you like to sign up for?" I was absolutely blown away by this question. I haven't yet stepped a single foot past your front desk and you're asking me to commit for a full year membership? I told he
