I do not recommend using the Walgreens pharmacy. The pharmacist is rude and unwilling to help. After criticizing they refused to fill the prescription that came directly from the doctor. The pharmacist told her she did not look sick and asked her to leave. I am disappointed in humanity and the service we now receive from what is supposed to be a health providing resource. I recommend going to Mariano’s pharmacy on 14 in Crystal Lake. They were extremely helpful and happily filled the prescription.

I called to see if their photo machine was working because the other Crystal Lake location didn’t let us know it was broken until we went there to pick them up. This location, the machine is working but they aren’t receiving online orders. The girl I spoke with was condescending and RUDE saying obviously she can’t control the internet. Walgreens and their workers are the WORST!

Went there for a Covid 19 booster Friday 10/21; had an appointment and had filled out all the paperwork ahead of time. After waiting a half hour and watching others get their vaccines I politely asked when my shot would be given The pharmacist snapped at me that "I am busy as you can see, and I will get to you when I get to you!" Waited another half hour and she said "ok ready for your flu shot!?" I said "no, it's my Covid booster, I told you that and I filled out the paperwork!" No apology, just shrugged her shoulders. Just disgusted, will not go back.

Just like most other businesses Walgreens is having trouble finding good employees! Otherwise I would give this store a big fat ZERO! I've been shopping at Walgreens my entire life in the Chicago area so I know they are a good company. But come-on, the employees here are just not very good. Go there and try to get help finding something! Or try calling and see if any one answers.

We have transferred our pharmacy to this Walgreens in McHenry and have needed many new prescriptions. This pharmacy indicates in its app that the medicine should be ready in an hour or 2. The reality is that if a doctor has ordered the prescription at noon, it can take until 7pm to be ready. This has happened time and time again since August. If you try to get in touch with them by phone, you will wait at least 30minutes and have numerous prompts to get to the pharmacist's line. Then when you are the "next" customer, they hang up on you. So, NO WAY to get to a real person. If you go into the pharmacy, they will tell you to wait, it is not ready, and it can be at least another hour. They do not have enough workers to assist for the size of the pharmacy. It is truly run in an unprofessional and unreliable manner when patients really need their medicines. They need to properly staff and set up the phone system too.Walgreens is too big a company for this terrible situation

Manager of this Walgreens is clueless. Attempted to return a Cera Ve facial cleanser I accidentally bought by mistake. I wanted to exchange, but the one I was supposed to get was all out of stock. The Reason for an “attempt” to return was I bought the wrong one. The employee Jordan checking me out could not return it so he called for the manager. He therefore could not do it and told me to call the 1-800 number. This is the same guy that told me the night before when I came in and was having trouble redeeming my cash rewards to call the 1-800 number! I realized for some reason Walgreens have me in their system twice with the same phone number so we tried the other one and it worked, but what a joke always referring to that 1-800 number. And the reason I could not return it is bc the employee and manager didNOT even ask me if I used my cash rewards on it so therefore I had to put my number in to start the return process! I ended up going to the Walgreens on HWY 14 by Mariano’s and transaction went smooth. I realize they (manager &store employee) were just “trying” to return the product under a regular normal return when they had to do it a different way since I used my cash rewards. I didn’t realize that until I went to another location since I come into Walgreens once in awhile. I notice the employees here and there don’t know how to work the system on returns/exchanges and they all need more training on that. This is the same place that issued me a store credit when I paid debit for an online return. The employees didn’t know how to put the money back on my debit card so the last option was to put it on a store credit card/merchandise credit when it should of been refund back to me on my debit. I’m not a complicated person, but when a manger that’s supposed to know how to run/work the cash register and know the system can’t even do a simple return is what irks me. He couldn’t even override it bc he didn’t do it the correct way and just told me to call the 1-800 number. I walked out of there telling them it’s fine when really I knew it was something else. There had to be another reason why it didn’t accept. Wasn’t sure if Walgreens had a COVID return policy or not, but I told myself to drive to a different location to see why can’t that item to be return than to have a manager just hand a 1-800 number out all the time. It’s funny how he does that and it’s like not his problem so you can call 1-800 number. He didn’t even know why it won’t accept my return so here’s a 1-800 number. Now, I know why it didn’t accept bc they were supposed to do the return transaction differently! I will let them know next time when if I ever go back in this location on how they should do the return since the manager isn’t aware of how to start a return when someone used their cash rewards. I’m just so dead when he referred that 1-800 number all the time though.

Pharmacy is great, no problems, but the rest of the store - forget it. Customer service is a joke. Talked to the manager and he was just rude. He made no attempt to help and certainly had an attitude. The store used to be friendly and helpful but within the last two years or so it I have noticed a decline in help and just employees being nice. Started taking my business elsewhere.

First of all, I have to say this was one of the nicest Walgreens I've ever been in... The friendliness and efficiency of the Walgreens pharmacy staff was very impressive at the Route 31 Crystal Lake Walgreens location.Usually when I go to pharmacies, it's a very sterile environment and staff are very robotic. That was not the case at this pharmacy.I received my first Covid shot and needless to say I was a nervous wreck. I have never receive a shot anywhere except at a hospital. To my suprise the Pharmacist Andy was outstanding. He was very good at explaining everything and most importantly giving the shot. I wouldn't have known that I received it except for the fact that I watched him administer it in my arm. Outstanding job - Big Kudos to the Pharmacist Andy.Walgreens Crystal Lake, IL - Highly recommended - 5 stars!

Very nice and helpful staff at this location. I’ve only done curbside pickup @ this location but they are very quick with bringing your items to your car. I went inside the store to shop today and the manager was very helpful with helping me find certain items. She was also very helpful when some of my coupons didn’t work. She had lots of patience with me and my order, & didn’t make me feel uncomfortable because a small line formed.

This Walgreens is good for your day to day needs. Staff is friendly and helpful. The biggest issue is the pharmacy has limited hours. 9am is the open time ... and close time varies. Difficult for anyone who works or going to school. You should expand the hours a bit in my opinion.
