Just spent a wonderful long weekend here! The owner, Cynthia, was knowledgeable and very straightforward about what I needed and didn't need to accomplish my creative goals. I love that she didn't waste my time or money. Because of that, I am a lifelong customer. In addition, the ladies I met who were also staying were wonderful! Just an amazing overall experience!I can't wait to come see you again! Thanks so much, Cynthia! You are a class act, know your stuff, and are so kind to share you experience and skills with all of us!

Threads of Time is AMAZING!!! Such beautiful fabrics and so many sewing and embroidery products available. The owner is a marvel. She provides incredible service and goes above and beyond to be helpful. The retreat center is a blast - it’s like my second home. I love this place!!

I took my Babylock machine in for servicing on August 31, 2022. I was told they were a month out on getting machines serviced, but that was OK with me. I called on Oct. 5 to check on progress, was told it would be another week and a half. I called again in the middle of the week almost 4 weeks later, in November, and was told it would maybe be done that Saturday. It wasn't, so I called again Nov. 22 and said I was going to get the machine since I needed it. I was then told the machine was "on the bench" being worked on right then and might be done the next day. I was busy the next day (day before Thanksgiving) but went Nov. 25 and got my machine, after them having it for 3 months. I have taken the same machine other places for service and had it back in 2 weeks. I was told they had a lot of machines come in for work, but a 3- month wait time is a little much. The staff I talked with were very nice, but the service department can stand some improvement.

I was nervous about buying a new embroidery and sewing machine. However the owners went above and beyond to make sure I had what I was looking for. I had no clue what all I would need but the explained and made sure I had what was needed. They sat down with me to show me everything my machine could do in detail! Looking forward to doing classes. I love me machine! The store is beautiful and full of so many beautiful fabrics!!!

Threads of Times is an absolute gem! Everything you need from fabric, to notions to the 36 bed retreat center. Cynthia and her staff are wonderful, helpful and always willing to help out. Classes are well paced making sure no one is left behind. Recently in June I attended the Red/White and BBQ event class was great however my machine decided to act up, luckily I had a 2nd machine with me. At the end of the day Cynthia spent extra time when she could of gone home to stay and get my machine fixed, which I greatly appreciated. The retreat center is amazing, rooms are comfortable, kitchens have everything you need, sewing area tables with power sources built right in and all new chairs. If you need help picking out fabrics that go together like I do, Threads of Time is the place to go. It's a 2 hour drive for me however it's worth ever second of the drive. I've gone with friends and by my self and have always met new friends. Thank you Threads of Time for a great place to shop and retreat.

I have been retreating for over 8 years at Threads and have had great experiences. I've made new friends that I would have never had the opportunity to met otherwise. I am impressed that when a retreater has machine issues, Cynthia stops and fixes our machines to keep us sewing. The retreat center is always clean and inviting. The water in the showers is always hot. When you turn them on you need to wait a minute. Cynthia and staff are always friendly and ready to help.

I just read the review from Kelly stating the owner was rude and condescending and walked past without saying hello. I have been coming to this retreat for years and do not agree. Cynthia is one of the most caring and generous people. She is always ready to help. If she walks past without talking to us I feel she is on a mission to help someone or perhaps she is on the phone gathering information for someone else.

The employees were kind and extremely helpful. They welcomed our quilting group and were always there to help us. Unfortunately, the owner was rude and condescending to our group. She never even took the time to say hello despite walking right past our tables. The rooms were nice but there was no hot water for the showers. Because of the owner, I won't be returning. There are other quilt shop owners who actually appreciate their guests.

The employees are friendly and helpful. The owner, however, is not friendly at all. Our group stayed for 5 days at the retreat center and she never once spoke to us despite walking right past our group.to talk with regulars. The showers had no hot water but other than that and the rude owner, the stay was pleasant enough. The owner so was condescending that I will not be returning to this business again. There are so many quilt shop owners who appreciate their customers so I will give my business to them.

Our group of quilters has been going to this retreat center since 2015. Our last visit in 2019 was not great. However, we expected that the shutdown due to covid would have been the perfect opportunity to update and thoroughly clean the facility. Not so. Sewing and cutting creates a lot of dust which penetrates the carpeted flooring and the air handling system. The air quality here is bad resulting in headaches for some overnight attendees. Bathroom facilities are old and not clean. Bedding quality is poor. Security is questionable - we found an unlocked door on our last morning. Go for the fabric - but don’t stay overnight.

I had a problem with my Babylock Regent long arm machine and I texted Cynthia and Harris about it. Within 2 hours of my text, I talked to Harris and was on my way in to the shop with it. Both he and Cynthia explained a few things I did not know and gave me some helpful information. Within about 30 minutes I was out the door on my way home, a VERY satisfied customer. Of course I had to look through the shop because there were a lot of new fabrics I hadn’t seen. I can’t wait to go back and retreat in January! Their customer service after selling machines is so very important and they get 5 stars from me!!

... so that's all I need to know. I stayed in the car on the lot this time while she browsed & bought (our second visit to Threads of Time during trips to Danville); but my constantly quilting wife was very happy with the selection & quality of products, and says the staff were very helpful & knowledgeable. She also mentioned that customer face coverings were enforced, and that the staff all wore face shields. Hopefully the next time we visit, none of that will be necessary.

This place is amazing! There are thousands of bolts of fabric pleasantly displayed. Notions and patterns are presented throughout the store. The unique feature of the shop is the 36 bed retreat center connected to it. Quilters can shop during the day and sew all night!
