“Don't let the bad reviews deter your opportunity to stay at this mystifying establishment. You'll be greeted by friendly, yet very confused, hotel staff who will explain a complex story about why you'll need to change rooms during your 3 night stay (that they wont understand themselves). The thematic elements of this hotel are gripping as each room has its own unique and exotic scent which will transport you anywhere from to the humid Amazon or a trip back in time where cigarette smoking was common in public places. I was particularly impressed by the free marijuana available and in such a convenient format too! You didn't even need to light up, simply walk through the halls and breath it in at no charge. Besides aromas, the architectural elements were also impressive. Most places reserve floating floors for laminate or vinyl flooring but the Hawthorne didn't stop there. My room's bathroom had a floating tile floor! Even most of the grout was floating above the foundation. Wonderful!Security is also a top priority here so much so that your hotel key will not allow you into your room at times. You'll have to go the front desk to get your key renewed daily. My only complaint was the skimpy continental breakfast. I would highly recommend walking across the street to the Hampton for its very accommodating culinary experience.”

“Went here year's back as a kid bc our car popped a tire on family vacation and it couldn't be fixed until the next morning. From what i remember, staff and the rooms were incredible, especially for a last minute reservation in a pinch. Still grateful about it. ?Noteworthy details: Kind when you're in an emergency. Great people there.”

“The hotel was clean, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff was responsive. The waffles were some of the best I have had.We had a couple issues with our kids, where one was sick and soiled the sheets, and another flooded the bathroom from the shower. They were quick to get us a ton of extra towels and mop up the water, and Angel went above and beyond to clean our room, get rid of the soiled sheets (yuck!), and sprayed Febreze so our room was clean and smelling fresh. Angel did all this with a wonderful smile and pleasant attitude.She's a rockstar!”
