Novel Ideas Books & Gifts is a great small business and a Decatur gem. The environment is lovely, well organized, comfortable, and absorbing, with various chairs inviting customers to sit and read. It offers a large array of books, including a selection of rare books, oddities, and vintage paperbacks, alongside a wide variety of unique gifts, trinkets, STEM toys, puzzles, socks, and bookmarks. The wonderful staff provides very friendly, helpful, and great service, going above and beyond to care for customers' needs, including free gift wrapping. They are helpful without pestering and can order books not on hand. The shop is very nice and fairly priced, with reasonably priced gifts and books in very good condition. It is a fun shop and a great place to look around to find the perfect gift, highly recommended for an amazing book shopping experience.

Kim, the store owner is very helpful and loves to talk with her customers. I was very impressed with the bookstore and Kim was even able to order me a book that she didn't have on hand. I would highly recommend you check out this Decatur gem.

Very nice and fairly priced. I loved their selection of vintage paperbacks. I honestly wished they even had more. The lady was very nice and helpful and I did not experience any such difficulty that they other commenters stated and didn't have a mask or need one at this point. Would recommend and would go back.
