I just moved here from Cali, had no idea where to go for auto service yet due to a mix of misfortune/fortune my car lost its clutch down the street from Ryder's. I had it towed there. They fixed it right up, I felt so lucky. I just had my second car fixed there too. That place is not only nice to be at, the people are warm and honest. =)

We’ve taken our two cars here on several occasions for varying issues. This most recent one required a complete engine rebuild for my husband’s 2018 jeep. Not only was the price very reasonable (almost felt like too low) but ALL the issues we had with the jeep were resolved. They even discounted the price if you pay cash, which saved us another $200!
Very solid family owned business and would recommend to anyone in the area needing auto repairs.
Fair, honest and professional would be the 3 words I’d use. 10/10 would use their services in the future!

The lawn/garden center and auto shop are wonderful. Small business owners and genuinely great owners! The garden center has high quality plants and other decorations for the outdoors, be sure to stop by in spring/fall. The auto shop does a quality job. Scott is always courteous and knowledgeable. He has been working on our vehicles for over 20 years.

The people are really nice very kind. The only issue I’ve had is I brought a vehicle there that had ignition issues. And it’s been a reoccurring thing over the last couple of years. I’ve had to bring it back four times for the same issue. At least two of the times it was under warranty but the other two times I had to pay out of pocket. All of these times I was replacing the ignition module and coil. Come to find out the issue was the distributor. The cap and rotor was corroded to all hail in the gear connecting the distributor to the camshaft had started to strip. I have a strong feeling that the corrosion from the distributor is what made the coil/ignition module go bad and it was never changed. now I have an engine that doesn’t turn or crank over, and now has metal shavings everywhere inside of it due to the broken distributor. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t want to replace the distributor given that the ignition module and coil has gone bad so many times. At the time I didn’t question it because I didn’t know much about this. Now to be safe I got to take apart the whole entire engine just to make sure there’s no metal shavings in it and then rebuild it. just be very careful on what you’re replacing. from what I now understand all the parts can cause new parts to go bad. I am not sure if they didn’t know this or if they purposely didn’t replace it. Will never know. I would like to think he just didn’t know. Other than the engine issues, I’ve had no issues with any other replacements regarding brakes rotors or tires.Services: Electrical repair

We live in Peoria and came down to Decatur for my daughter to buy a vehicle. We had Ryder’s do an inspection for us. A+++ service! Fast friendly and communicated very well. Need more mechanics like this in the world. Keep up the great work!

Honest. Have taken 3 differnt vehicles never had to have a repair done again or been dissatisfied with work done. Do all oil changes and any mechanical there, won"t go anywhere else
