I had an extremely frustrating experience at Apple Store - Deer Park Mall. I worked with Rachel, then with Alex.
I came in because the back glass on my iPhone 17 Air was shattered. I have AppleCare, and all I needed was to order the replacement part or have it fixed on the spot. They didn’t have the part in store, which I understood, so they ordered it.
What no one communicated was that this would become a 1 hour 30 to 45 minute process involving internal diagnostics and multiple software restores because the phone was on an iOS version that isn’t fully supported yet. I was told I had to sit while the device was restored to older software, then updated again, then restored again from backup for a hardware issue that should have never taken this amount of time or complexity.
After nearly 2 hours of waiting, I walked out with the same broken device and instructions to return another day once the part arrives. My schedule was completely disrupted, expectations were poorly set, and the process wasn’t explained ahead of time. For something marketed as premium support, it was confusing, inefficient, and incredibly disappointing.
This was my first time using AppleCare, and unless something changes, it will be my last. I am canceling it immediately and switching back to Verizon insurance. A simple back glass repair should not take 2 hours of waiting just to still walk out without a fix. That’s unacceptable. Do better.

We purchased a MacBook Air on Monday and two days later the product went on sale. While we appreciated the expertise of the sales people, we were very disappointed that they did not tell us about the upcoming sale. That would have shown real integrity and built better customer relations. Even our car salesman told us he could give us a better deal if we waited.

Brought my iPhone 16 pro here today because it keeps restarting over and over and over. They run diagnostic and tell me it's a faulty logic board so needs a repair, but they don't have the part in stock - they tell me woodfield has it and if I go there today they will fix. I even asked do I need an appointment at woodfield and they told me no - they will help you right away. They told me go home and get a full backup - so I did - got to woodfield at 6:45 - they close at 9:00 and I was told fix takes an hour - woodfield tells me they can't get to my phone today - so I call deer park back and they tell me they will order part but won't get it until Tuesday!!! Today is Saturday. I say they have the part at woodfield - they just showed it to me - but claim it's against company policy for customers to transport repair parts - give me a break. The Apple Store employees are also all rude and entitled - they seem to forget my phone cost me $1500 and shouldn't fail in the first year because of faulty parts. I know a lot of people say this - but I'm done with Apple and my next phone purchase won't be an Apple. Samsung actually has better phones - Apple has gotten way too big and forgotten why people shop with them. Google iPhone issues and they are more common than you'd think!

My husband went to get his phone battery replaced. He had an appointment at 1:15 pm. He checks in and they tell him they are very busy and have lots of repairs today, and that they can’t have his phone fixed until 4 pm. I’m sorry, but WHAT? The replacement itself takes an hour, which we knew, so we expected to be done around 2:30. But having to wait 2 hours and 45 minutes for them to get to fixing your phone, when you have an APPOINTMENT is unacceptable. Don’t take so many repair appointments if you don’t have capacity for it. What an absolute waste of time.

She was incredibly helpful, honest, and patient — truly went above and beyond to make sure I had the best experience possible. I’ve never received customer service this exceptional before! Jessica made me feel completely comfortable, kept a positive attitude the whole time, and genuinely cared about helping me find what worked best. She’s a perfect example of why Apple is such an outstanding company — its amazing staff. Thank you, Jessica, for making my day and giving me such a great experience!

I want to start by saying this may not be the fault of the staff but my experience is I booked an appointment at a certain time online, showed up on time, waited a half hour before deciding to leave. They couldn’t give me an estimate for how long I needed to wait and said I was in line. Not sure how making an appointment in advance leads to needing to wait more than a half hour on a Thursday especially when I see there are staff free.

I’ve been trying to call and reschedule my pickup time. They asked me many questions and refused to reschedule. If you can’t why did you ask so many questions and wasting my time? Poor communication and disrespectful

I came in about 30 minutes before closing and Gian was amazing! He was able to set up 3 new iPhones for my family and even when we ran into some technical issues he took the time to show us new features on the phone and get us excited about it! He went above and beyond and was very understanding and even stayed after close to make sure we left the store feeling 100% about everything. Really great customer service and super knowledgeable
