“I stayed here while attending the DCI show across the street at the stadium and was really pleased with the overall value. The location right on Lincoln Highway is super convenient, especially if you need to be near Northern Illinois University. The staff at check-in were friendly and welcoming. Everything was clean and comfortable with nice extras like a mini-fridge and microwave, though there was a slight odor of smoke in the room when I first walked in. That aside, you can’t beat the price for what you get. I’d definitely stay again when passing through.”
“At NIU for an interview. Stayed at Holmes Student Center hotel for two nights. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Quiet. Clean. But rooms are in need of some upkeep. Nothing horrible, but a few holes in wall. Needs some paint. Room was passable for my needs. Great access to campus. I’d say the hotel and rooms are very pragmatic, no thrills. No problem, just nothing to rave about.”

“I would stay here again without hesitation. This was the best hotel experience I’ve had in recent years. You can tell when an operation is running with care & intention behind it. The room was better than I expected. Very pleasant front desk person, good coffee with complete breakfast options & the room was quiet. We were there on a busy Saturday night & never even heard other people’s doors close. Bravo Hampton Inn DeKalb!!”
