Everything that I have explained in this review has nothing to do with feelings and has everything to do with facts. In march 15th 2025 around 9:45 I went to this auto zone to buy a new battery for my vehicle, I asked one of the employees (young asian American gentleman) to help me out finding a battery, he did find me the battery and as it states in Autozone’s description they will install your battery free of charge. When I asked him to change my battery he replied with we’re closing and I can’t install it so I asked to if I could borrow a tool so I could do it myself although I have no idea how to do it and he replied with I can give you “My tools” but when I paid for the battery he became indecisive and hesitated because they had 10 mins to close and though i understand that they are closing, Turns out changing a battery only takes 2 minutes and he wasn’t even willing to help me change my battery or even borrow his tools after he himself said that we could, after five minutes of yelling at me In front of his co-worker and my friend he finally gave me the tools and i was able to change my batteries. Now what I want everyone to tell me is if you go to an establishment and ask someone for help for something they getting paid to do and then after not just denying to service they publicly humiliate you, does that person have a right to get paid?? I will leave that decision up to you

I didn't want to be prejudiced. But it becomes clear when you look at the comments. You can really tell that there is a lack of tolerance towards people.
Not all, but most of the employees here do not know how to treat people. And they are very rude towards people. They can fix these.
There is no point in treating people badly. It only makes them lose. I have been to other branches. I have not encountered such behavior in other branches. This branch caught my attention.
I had to write a comment because the branch caught my attention so much.

I just bought a few things for my cars. The seller has poor customer service, if they don't have something for your car, they won't recommend anything. And on top of that, he swore at me, thinking that if my English is bad, then I don't understand at all. Now I won't go to this store anymore and I don't recommend it to anyone.

Had a great experience at this auto zone.
Harold went above and beyond to repair my rear window wiper.
I have an auto zone in my neighborhood and it's not nearly as customer friendly.

Terrible terrible guest service and knowledge !!! Got a battery for my truck from there since Nov 2024 n til yesterday find out battery was the wrong one plus was charged for a different one plus got a lower grade battery . So been struggling with battery til yesterday when a very nice girl and gentleman helped me get the correct correct one n told me I was given wrong wrong battery. Went to auto zone on Golf Rd . They are super knowledgeable n understanding n willing to help the extra mile . Des plaines terrible n just sell parts n don’t know if the correct one. Had gone 2 times to des plaines n told them about making sure my battery was correct n all they said was it is n they left me cold . Showed them the old one n the one I had bought n same thing per them but numbers didn’t match so terrible peeps there .

Customer service and exceptional Help from associate Laura. She showed great patience and knowledge with store products, especially when she assisted me with assembling my windshield wipers.

The manager is useless, he is lazy, nothing to do with Napa. 100% recommended. Napa is more friendly and they are not lazy to give you what you ask for.

Rude hispanic guy was talking to us and wouldnt understand that we needed a four inch exhaust gasket. I kept telling him that the car doesnt come stock with a gasket and you cant look it up. This guy just wouldn't understand as if he didn't speak English
