The people at this location don’t know what they’re doing!! Stay away!! They said I wouldn’t get back anything. I took the same forms to another tax preparer and got back $3200. How could they be so wrong. They’re extremely rude and lied to me several times. On top of that they tried to charge me $350. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION. They don’t know what they’re doing at all and will steal your money!!!!!

they have no clue what they're doing or how to handle taxes. they're double booking appointments and were asking people to come in and file on Easter. the accountant there hardly spoke english and was confused and clearly was not educated. stay away

I came in on 2/20. The associate who helped me file my taxes was nice, but he struggled with my regular W-2 forms and needed help understanding a portion of the forms. After over an hour, we finished, and I was getting a refund of X amount. I left happy just to have it out of the way. Fast forward two weeks: I called in to check the status of my return, and the receptionist stated that my return is open and yet to be submitted. In the two weeks since, I have not received a single email, notification, or phone call regarding my 'open' return. You can easily pay over $200 for terrible service. Just do it yourself and save the money.By the way, I've also checked the online portal, and I'm not even on there. What kind of joke is H&R Block?My only takeaway is that they're nice.

I do not recommend this location or their "experts" in the slightest.Went in to file, they argued with all my information. Even with my CORRECT return from last year that I filed to HR.They then try to file me incorrectly, tell me I won't get anything back (which I know can't be right) and then proceed to refer me to another HR.I'm frustrated. I know something was done wrong so I tell them to just return my paperwork and then call the ACTUAL IRS.IRS confirms they were about to screw my taxes and told me exactly how to file. I went in to get the paperwork and they still continued to argue with me. Lady tells me she's been doing this for 30 years yet somehow is still wrong according to the IRS. Who told me I was lucky I didn't file how they were telling me to. End of day, go somewhere else. These people have no idea what they are doing. I also suggest that if you had your taxes done here, get a second opinion. They don't know how to handle certain returns and they should just say that instead of arguing with the LITERAL IRS.

Sherry was excellent and was very knowledgeable. I made a great choice getting my taxes done here and would recommend this H&R block to anyone.

Joseph Ansel was my agent and he did a very good job doing my taxes in a professional and timely manner. He was very polite and kind. I will continue to come to him to have my taxes done.

I really don't like leaving bad reviews because I like to give people the benefit of the doubt but I feel I need to warn people about this place. The first time I tried to make an appointment I couldn't understand the woman on the phone and I didn't even understand what time my appt was for so I called back and another woman answered and she assured me they could do what I needed done and said I would be receiving an email and text to upload documents online and a reminder and confirmation for my appointment. I didn't receive any text or email and it was because they didn't have my updated email and phone number AFTER I gave the young lady my phone number and email. This place is a joke. I had such a bad feeling, then I came and looked at the other reviews for this place and now I see why my instincts were telling me not to come here. When I called to cancel my appointment the woman asked if I wanted to reschedule and I said no and she didn't ask why or anything ( they probably deal with a lot of no shows and cancellations) and said ooook like it was my loss. There are thousands of other places to get your taxes done in the Chicagoland area do yourself a favor and don't go here.
