I have dealt with Marilyn pharmacy tech for quite some time now. She is always pleasant and extremely helpful. She makes dealing with MacRx a pleasure.

Mac RX is a corrupt mail pharmaceutical company that overcharges disabled elderly people and most likely gives kickbacks to the assisted living or nursing home that they are in business with. I used Mac RX for my mother who has dementia and heart problems for a year and a half they ripped her off with inflated prices. Corrupt nursing home assisted living facilities join up with Mac RX to steal from the elderly and disabled don't use them

As far as I can tell, they are the only pharmacy that supplies nursing homes in the Chicagoland area. They stock the cheapest generics. This can be good, because if your insurance does not cover a medication and you have to pay out of pocket, you're getting rock bottom prices, even lower than Walgreens or CVS. However, some of those generics are not as good quality as some of the other generics available, and in order to get a different generic medicine, you will likely have to visit an outside doctor and take that Rx to an outside pharmacy, some thing that nursing homes usually don't like but is perfectly legal to do. Why? Because nursing home docs just fill out their forms to write prescriptions. I could never get a nursing home doc to write me paper scripts to take to any pharmacy I chose. I spent at least $1,000 paying this pharmacy in cash because they were billing the wrong insurance plan and telling me that it wasn't covered by my insurance, and nobody caught the mistake. And, they do not take credit cards. That can be a difficult thing for a nursing home resident to pay them cash. So they obviously have a problem with their record keeping. Their pharmacists have always been pleasant on the phone. They only deliver in the dead of night, at 12:30am, 1am, 2am, 3am, so if there's a medication that you really need during the day, you're screwed, as they don't have a retail window you can just drive up to, and they don't do emergency deliveries, as far as I know.

They do not properly submit to insurance companies for payment, and try to collect money based on their mistakes. If your facility works with them make sure you tell them no when they ask if they can order medications from them. Use Walgreens and save yourself the heartburn.

Started harassing me for payment days after my sister passed away. I paid the bill once I was able to gain legal access to my sister's funds, as I am not legally required to pay my sister's bills with my own money.

while staying in a place i had Someone come into my room with all the paperwork for all the billing ,got our phone numbers and Insurance Company . Now most good companies make sure they submit all their information to your insurance so they get paid, Not this one several times i had to call to make sure they were paid . After six months the Rx plan of my insurance wont pay a bill but you can try major medical. This Company thinks that i should pay the full amount of their bill because they screwed up. I feel bad for the elderly , this company would walk all over them. Now if they cannot do their job correctly they should not expect the public to pay all that money to
