“I could've swore I told Google to dismiss this from my location log but since they wanna be nosey. I visited friends here during ACen weekend. I didn't book the room and I'm not sure of the amenities. But the area is nice. Casino up the road with event space. Discount Mall is there as well south of I90 near the entertainment district. Rooms are spacious, bed are comfy for the most part (I took a nap). Bathrooms are super nice. Concierge was helpful cuz I didn't know where to go to find the elevator. The elevator was tuck around a corner in a hall leading to the pool area. Seems like a nice hotel for maybe a light vacation or somewhere to rest if ur passing thru the Chicagoland area.”

“We had such a wonderful birthday party experience at Bottle & Bottega in Arlington Heights!
The kids painted beautiful pictures, made their own slime, had pizza, and everyone had so much fun from beginning to end.
A very special thank you to Chris and Gio for making the party so fun, welcoming, and organized. They were amazing with the kids and helped make the day very special.

“My 70th birthday was at the Social loft. The venue was perfect for my celebration and all my guests commented on how nice the venue was. Deanna, the owner, couldn't have been nicer and answered my endless questions patiently and quickly. Her staff was very helpful and a delight to work with. I would not hesitate to recommend anyone looking for an intimate venue to look here. Kudos to the Social Loft!!”
“This venue is gorgeous, and the service is incredible. Bergen was an amazing coordinator for us. Great communication throughout the planning process. She always got back to us with answers to questions. On the day of our wedding she helped to make sure everything was set up impeccably. When you book this venue you are required to have the decor/floral provided by Yanni Design Studios. Keith is the designer we worked with. Keith was awesome in helping the vision I had in mind become reality. Keith and Bergen were also great at giving us advice or tips. Weddings are also very expensive and the team we worked with were very respectful of our budget and were not pushy about upselling us. We had visited other venues where we dealt with this issue. I would recommend Canvas to everyone. Many of our guests said that our event was one of the most beautiful weddings they had been to.”

The well-trained instructors build strong relationships with the children, encourage their individual growth, and teach valuable life skills like problem-solving and teamwork. “We are so grateful to have had our wedding at the Nineteenth Century Charitable Association (NCCA)! Woody and his team were wonderful to work with - from first touring the venue to clean-up the morning after. Set in the beautiful neighborhood of Oak Park, the NCCA is surrounded by community parks and historic homes by Frank Loyd Wright. We also had easy access to the local hotel to host our guests overnight. This wedding venue is reasonably priced with true historic charm. The food and beverages were excellent. We held our ceremony/cocktail hour on the first floor and reception on the second floor, comfortably accommodating our guest count of 175 people. Woody is responsive and flexible. He is willing to support creative endeavors to make your wedding feel original. We feel so fortunate to have found the NCCA to host our wedding - we would absolutely recommend it to you!”

“A great place for a picnic! There are portapotties, lots of parking, and plenty of picnic tables. There’s some nice trails close by to hike. Just be aware that you must leave by sunset!! My friends and I were slapped with some hefty tickets because we didn’t know this rule!”
“Attended a winter concert inside the Martin theatre and it was a wonderful experience. We had seats in row N and we were able to see the performance perfectly. Greeters/ushers were friendly and helpful. I would definitely attend another winter concert at Ravinia.”

“It was a great intimate space for a gathering the have an outdoor space also which is a plus. The kitchen area was clean. They had ample amount of tables and chairs. Parking of course is street parking but spots were available within the block.”

“We recently held a post funeral dinner service at Elmcrest Banquets, and I cannot say enough about the professionalism and compassion of the entire staff. The space was beautifully prepared and thoughtfully arranged to create a warm and comforting atmosphere for my family and my guests. They have two parking lots to handle overflow of guests. The food was beautifully presented, fresh, and delicious. Highly recommend.”
“Absolutely beautiful playground right on the lake, perfect for all ages. There are two different playgrounds for different age groups, one of which is handicap accessible. Lots of towers, climbers, music, slides and swings, and one playground even has a sandbox. The biggest downsides to this park is that's its wood chips and there's limited shade. There are some sunshades, mainly over the benches surrounding the playground, but the playground itself is fully exposed, so better to go on a cloudy day.”
“Here's a good joint to come and have a drink, nice place to have a drink and it's really clean, everybody should give it a try, drinks are not too expensive, compared to other bars. Highly recommend!!!”

“I rarely leave reviews, but Sam and his co-manager at Bowlero, they both absolutely deserves recognition’s . From the moment we walked in, they set the tone for a smooth, enjoyable night. They were friendly, patient, and incredibly professional.
When we had an issue, Sam handled it immediately and with real care. He didn’t brush anything off, he took ownership, communicated clearly, and made sure everything was fixed quickly. You don’t see that level of customer service much anymore.
Sam and his associate manager genuinely made our visit better. They checked in on us, made sure the lanes were good, and treated us like actual valued guests. You can tell they takes pride in the place and in their job.
Bowlero is lucky to have them. Because of these fine people, we’ll definitely be coming back.”
“Such a fun little gem, especially for families with young kids! The unlimited indoor carousel rides were definitely the star of the visit and made everything feel extra special. It’s a cute, charming place where little ones can really enjoy themselves. We loved that the carousel rides were indoors too, which made it even more convenient and fun. Just a friendly heads-up: they close at 2 PM, so it’s best to come early to make the most of your visit. Definitely a sweet little spot for family fun!”
“Tessarae is such a warm, inviting place full of the kindest people. We had my daughter's birthday party there and it was a great experience. The environment was very inviting and comfortable, our group of teens had a really fun time doing a painting lesson together. “We had our wedding at the metropolis ballroom in August 2025 and they surpassed our expectations! We worked with Anita and truly couldn’t say enough good things about her, she made our wedding feel like such a priority and met all of our needs! She was so attentive, responsive and present on our wedding day and all the months leading up! The venue was beautiful, was able to accommodate our large guest list and felt very us! We feel so lucky. Thank you!”
“A must see! Give yourself plenty of time to see this museum. Great displays telling the Holocaust stories. They do have guides to walk you through the displays. We haven't used them, but I'd recommend using them your first time through. I've been here 2 times and haven't taken enough time to see all in detail. Make sure you plan to see the 3D Holocaust survivor exhibit. It's a hologram of a survivor sitting on a chair telling their story. You can ask questions, and they answer. Very cool. They have a VR experience. I'd recommend you go to that. However, the technology needs upgrading. It's worth going to. Overall, highly recommend you visit and great for young adults to understand what really happened. Learn from history, so this never happens again.”
“Kenny and Jeanette at The Fairway in Niles (Howard Street Inn) were unbelievably helpful while planning and hosting my mom’s funeral luncheon. From start to finish, they went above and beyond to make everything perfect. The space was beautiful and just the right size — comfortable, welcoming, and thoughtfully set up.
The staff was kind, attentive, and professional, and the food and service were excellent. It truly felt like a celebration of my mom’s life surrounded by family and friends. I can’t thank Kenny, Jeanette, and the entire team enough for their compassion and care during such an emotional time. Highly recommend!”
“Absolutely loved this place. They have a gallery in the museum where you can purchase the art and support local artists. The gallery is free to enter, but the art exhibits (side from the outside art) require an entrance fee. They change out the art every couple of months.”
