Used to give this place 5 starts and highly recommend, not anymore. After taking my car here for years for everything, ill never come back. They used to care about customers, now they seem to only care about booking high dollar job, and don't get back to you when your co ncorned about your service.

I don't recommend going here I went in for a simple oil change amdI went to the store and my car started to over heat and now my radiator is leaking really bad never had a problem before I went there don't know what they did to my car I will never go back to them and they want me to pay for them to fix a problem that I never had before I went there this is really messed up so if you go there be careful

Ok. Yesterday, my truck was derated to less than 5 mph. I called our road service, and they put me in touch with J&R Service. Little over a couple hours, Nate showed. Immediately diagnosed my Lonestar need a Nox sensor. He had to drive better than 30 miles back east on I80 to get the sensor. He gets back, installs it…no go. After further inspection, he finds that my dosed valve went awry. That was the end of yesterday. He arrives this morning, no dosed valve as I had expected…Alas, the issue with the riser was just the beginning. Two of the three bolts snapped. While waiting for the part AND THE HARDWARE, this guy was a real trooper. He managed to extract the second bolt, No joy on the third, however. Guy arrives with the part NO HARDWARE. So, he was going to go buy a couple bolts….service truck won’t go. Here’s how caring and professional these guys are… The Big Guy shows, fresh back from vacation, drops a pair o bolts in Nate’s hand, gets Nate’s service truck going (how damn many bosses will dirty their hands then clamber back in the RV (not too damn many).
Nate gets the dozer installed, runs a regen. And now I’m happily not derated.
Guys, give these folks a call if you’re in need, they’ll fix ya right up.

Went in to J&R to get an alignment done, told me I needed a ball joint replaced to do the alignment, no problem, picked up the car and it was driving terribly until the point the wheels collapsed in on each other due to a poor alignment inspection, dropped the car back off and they said the reason this happened was because of aftermarket hardware being ran in the suspension, which they were warned of and should have noticed during their inspection, they fixed there mistake “for free”. I got the car back still not driving correctly, not trusting that they fixed the car correctly I went to another shop I trust and they went through the car for me, my toe was WAY out of spec and different on both front wheels, they also failed to mention the passenger rear wheel was not even adjustable due to seized bolts but probaly didn’t want to offer to fix that because the aren’t skilled enough to do it. The shop I went to fixed everything for me and the car is driving better than ever

HORRIBLE. I went here because my steering wheel was locking when id turn right, and my steeringg wheel would shake while braking. They charged me $965 for new inner and outer tie rods on both passenger and driver side, an alignment, and to turn my brake rotors. I get my car back and a few days later my steering wheel is still locking up. I take my car to a diferent shop as an emergency because J&R couldnt get me in till next week. The other auto shop looks at it and tells me that J&R completly messed up my car, they said the alignment was way off, the tie rods werent greasead, and they didnt put a jam nut on right. This shop advised me to go and get my warranty. Next week I got my "warranty" and the only thing they did to fix the damage was grease my tie rods. They then tell me that I need a power steering rack which they should've found out in the first place. This place is terrible, and will steal your money, they are not honest at all, that issue could've killed me.

Their services are expensive and of poor quality. I do not recommend them. Go somewhere else. Be dissatisfied with their terrible work.

Had a check engine light on AFTER having a tune up about 3 months earlier at J & R, and the car still stalled randomly at stops. Brought in for oil change and to have them see if they could figure out the issue with my vehicle. Long story short, I was charged $150 for running a diagnostic on the car and they said they couldn’t find any issue with the car. As luck would have it, the car stalled at a stop the next day and the check engine light went back on. Taking my business back to Bob’s Advanced Auto to get the work done right. Plus, Bob’s said they don’t charge to diagnose a vehicle. Owner texted me after service and asked how my vehicle was. Told them my dissatisfaction with their shop via text, and shockingly, no follow up with me.

Everyone there were wonderful. We broke down on the side of the road because of a plastic panel piece underneath the vehicle wasn't fastened properly by Walmart service center, I might add. The people at J&R were gracious enough to pull that piece off without charging us. They were so nice and gracious people with beautiful hearts. Thank you so much! May God Bless you all!! You truly blessed us!!

I was driving down to St. Louis for a work trip when I heard a loud scraping sound coming from under my car. Turns out the oil change place I had went to the day before did not bolt the plate back on underneath my car.
Being 100 miles from home and needing to get to St. Louis for work I wasn’t sure what to do so I googled the nearest auto repair shop that was open.
J&R Service Center was that place, they took my car in immediately and bolted the plate back on and sent me on my way. I insisted on paying them and they told me it was no problem.
I can’t express enough thanks so I hope this review will let others know how great of a place this is!

J&R Services went above and beyond my expectations. Towing a trailer full of motorcycles when I lost a wheel on my trailer. Jeff (owner of J&R Services) came to my rescue, made all repairs to my wheel and then patched my tires. A great gentleman and thankful for all his hard work!!

My daughters and I broke down on the side of the highway on a Sunday evening as a storm was breaking. We were able to drive our vehicle to the Love's truck stop, but felt it was unsafe to drive the additional hour and a half home. The manager at the truck stop gave us names of 3 locals tow/garages to try.Not only did Jeff pick up his phone, but he was so helpful in guiding what I should do. We made arrangements for him to tow my vehicle the next morning and my husband drove up to get us.J & R worked on it first thing Monday, did a full check up, then contacted us with the details. We found everything to be acceptable and priced fairly, so we approved all the work. It was to be done within the next two days.Since we are an hour and a half away, we asked if my husband took the train there, could someone pick him up and take him to their place of business, which was about 15 minutes away. They did not hesitate, and were there to get him right on time! I hope to never be in that situation again, but if I am, I should be so lucky to find service like this!Thank you, J & R Service - I hope your business continues to thrive

Very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable folks! I had a last-minute repair that needed to be done, and they took care of it in a very timely manner. One of the best shops around!
