This is probably the most intimate atmosphere for a play. I saw She Kills Monsters. The play was great. The venue was amazing. We will definitely be back.

First time attending a play, and I enjoyed the theater very much! Saw Pride and Prejudice. I highly recommend this theater to anyone, but k ow it is on the second floor with very nice stairs and a single chair lift.

Dixon Stage Left is another of the somewhat hidden treasures which need to be discovered by a wider audience in DIXON!I recently attended their incredibly fascinating production of THE MISANTHROPE. Actually I attended that play TWICE because it was so well acted and staged. They really DO things that well at Stage Left. From the direction of Tim Boles to the perfectly audible, articulate performances of each of the actors, it made for an evening that went all too quickly and was well worth the admission price. The ambiance of having a well stocked bar from the CRYSTAL CORK in Dixon nestled in a room adjoining the actual theatre merits mention as well. I got to enjoy the play while also enjoying my favorite evening cocktail. Just cannot be beat!!!I am looking forward to upcoming productions at Dixon Stage Left and some more fine evenings of fine drama and music. It was an extra treat to be entertained by the fine harpsichord concert which preceded the play for about 30 minutes or so. The trained and educated harpsichordist, Mr. Ross Jallo, shared some very beautiful Baroque music with us. A great evening from start to finish!

Fantastic venue. We attended a wonderful performance by Corky Siegel and Randy Sabien. Excellent seating and sound. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent wine and beverages.

Stage Left a fabulous smaller "black box" theater. They do 4-5 main productions a year that run over a series of consecutive weekends, and also host special shows. The place gets better every time we go. There's a bar available in an anteroom connected to the theater. It's an intimate venue - seats fewer than 100 and puts you up close and personal with the performers on stage. Just saw Shadow Box, a powerful show about hospice care. Their production agenda has a ton of variety - somber pieces like this one, lighthearted comedies, and some really interesting special musical performances. You really should go!

An incredible performing arts lounge with quality performances. This performing arts venue is situated in Downtown Dixon's National Historic District. It is surrounded by many other arts venue's and several fine dining restaurants. Just a block from the Rock River National Waterway.
