I went to Kevin's Auto Repair Shop today. I've been driving pass forever. I decided to try them. When I came in I was greeted by the owner Kevin who was very friendly and knowledgeable. I like that he listened to me and explained everything he was going to do. I appreciate great customer service and that's what I received. He also gave and did me well on the price of the repairs which I'm totally grateful for. I will definitely be back. Thanks Kevin

Outrageously high priced. Over $600 labor for a job that I previously did myself in less than 30 minutes, $189 each for parts that cost less than $100 each at a dealer, even less at auto parts stores. $110 for an oil change. Changed oil in vehicle again after 1000 miles as advised by Kevin's, and a month later the car failed with same problem. Had much better experience several years ago with the original owner.

We found Kevin’s shop while frantically looking for a mechanic to figure out what was going on with the car while roadtripping from Philly to LA. The car had been giving us some problems and we had stopped at about 3 or 4 other mechanics, even the Hyundai service center, and all of them either couldn’t figure it out, wouldn’t take the time to really look into what the problem was, or just couldn’t because they had other work to do. We were in a time crunch and were losing hope until we called Kevin’s. He gave us a few ideas while on the phone of what it could be and had us bring the car in immediately. He spent a lot of time really trying to figure out what was going on and even went on a test drive with me out of his way on the freeway (in horrible traffic) so we could try and replicate what had been happening to us on the road. He was able to pinpoint the issue (a broken catalytic converter and a leaky gasket) and ran some tests to confirm. He made sure that he fixed the correct problem and not some costly repair that I didn’t actually need like so many other shops do. He went out of his way to find the best pricing on replacement parts for the repair and was so fast - he did the repair right there and then, while we waited, so we could get back on the road. He gave me a more than fair quote and didn’t try to oversell or upsell me on anything. He also talked us through the entire repair and told us exactly what he was doing - giving us a little intro to car mechanics 101. He is detailed, knows his stuff like the back of his hand, honest, and really tries to do right by his customers. I am extremely grateful we found him and for all his help. We were up a creek and he really saved us. I will steer all of my family and friends traveling through the Chicagoland area to him for any car troubles. I cannot recommend his shop enough!!!

Kevin no longer owns Kevin’s Auto. It’s now owned by Frank and Frank ruined one of our cars. When I asked him to print out a copy of the receipt he refused. Stay away from here, your car will thank you for it.
