Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital is highly regarded for its friendly and helpful staff, who take the time to explain details and provide excellent care. Many visitors have praised the hospital’s cleanliness and the overall positive experience they received. The hospital offers COVID-19 vaccinations and testing, with information available on their website for scheduling and locations. Patients have expressed satisfaction with the staff’s professionalism and the quality of services, including emergency care and specialized departments like the GI lab.
However, there have been some negative experiences. One patient described an inpatient stay where the staff, especially nurses Hannah and Kim, and counselors Sonja and Courtney, went above and beyond to provide good care. Conversely, another patient had a disappointing experience with Dr. Mirza, who was perceived as unpleasant, unapproachable, and dismissive. The patient felt misunderstood and unfairly diagnosed with depression, leading to feelings of anxiety during interactions. Despite this, the overall reputation remains positive due to the dedicated staff and commitment to patient care.
In summary, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital is known for its friendly staff, cleanliness, and good care, especially in emergency and outpatient services. While most reviews highlight their professionalism and compassion, some concerns about individual staff interactions have been noted, but they do not overshadow the hospital’s overall reputation for quality healthcare.
Since their most recent merger, they're terrible at communication in general and follow-up in particular. You can really tell the difference. It's a non-profit now run from the Carolinas that has all the feel of a private equity acquisition.

Staff and nurses are rude as they don't care about the patients , they must learn how to speak with patients... Doctors are experienced and good in nature, hospital must train staff and especially nurses some manners...
