I came to this station to make a police report for a dog bite injury. They weren't even busy when I made the report, but she appeared to be impatient with me. I live in the city so I’m not too familiar with the area. When she completed the report, I noticed there was an error so I came back inside to speak to the officer. She was somewhat frustrated and angry. I had to remind her the report needed to be accurate. On the way out of the station, I noticed that two police officers were parked and wasting time talking to one another. I understand there was confusion on my part but again I want police officers to be more patience and understanding with the public. It was a little bit of an effort on the officer's part, so I give them 2 stars.

Called the non emergency number to report a found lost dog, the dispatcher almost couldn't have been more incompetent.6 hours later, still no officer lol. Great work!2 stars instead of 1 because I mean they did pick up the phone..

I went to the police station to report someone that was driving without a valid license or insurance, and sometimes while intoxicated, and communicated that there was video footage of this driver at a local hotel. The police officer responded that I was trying to get him to do work for me. This person is still on the road everyday, and now it's on this DG police department if someone is injured or killed while this person is driving. Great work.

I was pulled over yesterday for speeding! Not only was the officer exceptionally nice and understanding, he gave me a warning for something(s) he could’ve been harsh about!I am VERY appreciative of his understanding and friendly disposition!

No matter all the trouble I've caused over my time, these officers have always been good to me. They always just did their job. You get what you give, when you deal with these LEOs.

They have always treated me, my sister, as well as my mother and father, with the utmost respect. I alone am glad to be a resident here for their humanity, genuine care, and consideration even in times of my ignorance, annoyance, and guilt. We are a safe and we are a proud community.

I honestly think some people think the police department is there own personal security.

We have excellent officers that I have dealt with but geesh, the Non Emergency lady is very snarky and mean. I spoke with her several times over the three years we been here. I think she can be a bit more helpful and friendlier. I'm not impressed at all with our tax dollars supporting this level of service.

If I could, I’d give zero stars! First of all I just called to ask a question and complain about how their service have been recently and they decided to hang up. Real professional hero’s over here at the Downers Grove Police Station and you guys should all be so very proud of yourselves... NOT! The officers like to waste their time driving through private property to put tickets on everyone’s cars yet when there is an actual incident like someone getting attacked they’re too lazy to follow through with paper work so they blame the victim and threaten to arrest them. I can say this because it’s happened to me personally (thank you Officer Maljawaan for that one

Since the DUI drivers with 4-digit plates don't fear getting pulled over on Dunham, DGPD must be easy on the "VIP drivers". Be careful on weekend nights on the minor streets, the VIP heading south is very swervy.
