I visited the store and found a nice set of history books that are well over a century old. Each book was listed at $10. One of the books had damaged binding. I decided to try my luck and ask if I could get a discount on that book, and the manager pleasantly agreed and offered $5 / 50% off the book. Im very grateful for that! Thank you! This store is outstanding.

Kind and clean. But the prices are not cheap. I went there to get kids books, and most paper books were about 4 dollars and hard cover books were way more expensive.

They take advantage of you if you’re trying to sell your books! The pricing is not fair, they barely pay you anything for books, even for hardcovers in great condition.
If you have great books in good condition, I would suggest selling them on Facebook Marketplace or having a garage sale instead of selling them to Half Price Books.
