Wonderful customer service ? John the manager was very nice and helpful ?. The people that work there are also very nice. I love the jeep ? compass that they let me use. I wish I could keep it. Lol ?.

Last time we rented a car from Hertz, it was a disappointing experience. With 50,000 miles on the odometer, the vehicle was heavily worn out. The exhaust system emitted an excessively loud noise, suggesting poor maintenance. It appeared as though the car had been used carelessly, perhaps even as a drug shuttle, given the state of disrepair. The seats were disgustingly dirty, adorned with stubborn, large stains that seemed permanent.The pervasive smell of tobacco smoke was overwhelming, to the point where my wife felt unwell for the first couple of days of our trip. Despite our hope that the smell would dissipate, even after ten days, the car still reeked of tobacco and nicotine when we returned it.Adding to our frustrations, the windshield washer tank was empty upon pickup, forcing us to purchase fluid at the nearest gas station. Despite our explicit inquiry about the oil change, we were assured that all maintenance had been completed satisfactorily. However, just a few hundred miles into our journey, we received a persistent warning message indicating an immediate need for an oil change (it was more than 7,000 miles old).The lack of power-adjustable driver seats made it impossible to find a comfortable driving position, particularly when combined with the uncomfortable seats and significant height difference between the gas and brake pedals. This not only made long-distance driving unpleasant but also posed a safety hazard on the road.Overall, this experience has left me with a strong inclination to avoid renting from Hertz in the future. Their lack of attention to vehicle maintenance and cleanliness standards falls far below expectations for a reputable car rental company.

If I could only give this -100 stars I would. This has to be the worst car rental agency of all time. The manager does not know half of what he is talking about, seems like he hasn’t showered in quite a long time, and I have had nothing but problems from day one. That being said, the associates aren’t very kind or polite either. Everyone there seemed very rude, unattended, and not caring at all about the customer. Their cell phones were more important than taking care of the customer in front of them.I had to use Hertz due to a warranty rental car through my auto dealership, from the moment the dealership made the contract for a large SUV as is part of my warranty included coverage, this hertz. Location caused me nothing but problems regarding it. I had to get my dealership to contact the district manager to get things done and to get me in the proper size vehicle that I pay for with my extended warranty plan because the manager didn’t want to do it. The manager is very disrespectful and has an excuse for everything. Can’t take responsibility for anything. Everything is everyone else’s fault and not him. Then, to make matters worse since it’s rental car was going on for about three weeks under a contract through the dealership, They forget to renew extend the rental and then ending up, charging my credit card for a large, unexpected amount of money without my permission, therefore causing me over $100 in overdraft fees to my bank. When calling him oh, there’s nothing we could do about it. They are trying to return the funds that weren’t supposed to be charged originally but they don’t care that they cost me over $100 in overdraft fees since I wasn’t planning on a charge of that amount. I have recommended to my dealership that they highly consider changing companies because this makes the dealership I used look very poor and I tell everyone beware with caution read all the negative reviews. They are true. This is by far the worst customer experience that I have ever experienced myself. The managers name here supposedly is Syed. Beware if you’re using and he’s dealing with you he does not care about the customer one bit.

This has got to be the worst customer service ever. Been trying to rent a car since Tuesday only to be notified an hour before that there aren’t any cars available. Asked if they could transfer my reservation to another location and they told me I had to do it. Definitely don’t expect great customer service here. Went to another location in Aurora on Wednesday to be told after I took a ride share that they had no cars. Not once did this location try to contact me and at that point I’m ride less and stranded. Tried again today Thursday at this location and they barely wanted to talk to me as I have a confirmation number and wanted to know if they don’t have cars why do they keep accepting reservations instead the employee was rude, talked over me and was if no assistance. At this point I’m done with them as a company and will be contacting corporate.

Never. Again. Booked a specific vehicle online and prepaid. Arrive at location to be told that booked/ paid for vehicle was not available. Had a receipt AND confirmation email, showing paid. Was told the closest vehicle in price was an upcharge of $15.00 per day (6 day rental, so not an insignificant amount). Not a price OR a vehicle we wanted, but were afraid we would not find anything else on such short notice,so took the vehicle and paid the additional charge. The vehicle was non-smoking but had a cigarette burn in the seat and smelled like cigarettes. EV vehicle, which we were not familiar with, and staff/owner never bothered to ask OR explain features. To me, PREPAID CONFIRMATION NUMER means you GET what you paid for with NO additional charge. Not sure if this is illegal or just unethical, but I AM sure I will never use Hertz again. Hertz Company reached out to me once, based on my survey response, then never responded after hearing about our experience. Terrible follow up-what was the survey point?

The way these people dismiss you and easily treats you with less than respect baffles me. Customer service and common courtesy should be a minimum when you're working with the public. If you don't want to work with the public or you're having a bad day then remove yourself

If you only rent from Hertz airport locations, try out a well-run neighborhood location like Downers Grove-Ogden. I rent from them for work and personal use -- the friendliness and efficiency of this branch has made it possible for us to have 1-car as a suburban family w/3 busy kids. I can easily pick-up a car when we need it instead of having a 2nd car sitting in the garage or by the Metra station 85% of the time.

Tried to rent a car here. Went through Expedia last night and they accepted the booking. Showed up today and they told us they didn't have any cars. Dude behind the counter didn't apologize and sort of chuckled at our confusion. No call ahead to say don't show up.

Worst experience ever. Gold member means nothing to them. Reserved vehicle 3 days prior to trip. The day of the trip called in advance and was informed they had no vehicles. Was then told to call the 800 number for help. Called the 800 number and was on the phone for 1 hour and was told to go to another location and pick up vehicle. Showed up to the second location and was told they had no other vehicles available. Why book in advance if they are not holding the reserved vehicle chosen.

Made a reservation for a car, got to the location and they said they have no cars. They know how to take a reservation, but they don’t know how to hold a reservation.

Made a reservation on they wedsite, the next day I went to rental shop to pick up the car I requested , the manager told me they didn't reserved any car for me , and told me to cancel the reservation by myself, so I called the customer serviceon the same day to cancel , and then until now I still didn't get my rental car insurance refund, the worst company, not gonna recommend here to anyone, I try to Dispute this Amount, but my bank said they need more information, how?
