I am visiting Illinois for an important meeting, and my laptop suddenly died the day before the meeting begins. I called Geek Squad at the Downers Grove location, in a panic, and got an appointment for within the hour. Bradley, the associate who assisted me, was friendly, knowledgeable, and pinpointed (and solved) my problem so quickly I was a little embarrassed. He offered to clean my laptop while I was there, and the charge was reasonable and gladly paid. I bought the laptop at a Best Buy in California and have never had a problem with it before today. Today's problem turned out to be 'operator error' in a way, so I have absolutely never had a problem with any interaction with Best Buy anywhere.

I had gone into best buy to look for a television for my sons room. I had no idea where to look. I was going to surprise him with it so I couldn't bring him with to pick it out himself. I had spoken to this nice young man named Jacob. He helped me figure out what Television would be good, size wise and such. Overall I believe it was a good experience and I would definitely say find Jacob the next time you're in the home theatre department.

I stopped in because this is where I bought my phone and I'm having issues. I knew I shouldn't have bought it from Best buy but I did. Andy... The gm... was just ridiculous today. I brought in my 2 month old phone for yet another issue. I thought the warranty I purchased would cover issues. They can replace it with a refurbished one. Not cool. My phone is new!! Andy refuses to replace a new phone with a new phone. He offer offers to refund my warranty purchase . Omg. Does that make any sense? I'm having issues with phone so he wants to take away the warranty. Wow. Stupid offer. I tell him of intermittent problem. He does some "test" and says the phone is working perfectly. I told him it may be working NOW but there is something wrong. He replies. That makes no sense . It's working but not working? Omg. This man should definitely not be in a place of customer service. I just feel those comments were so ignorant. And I guess I may as well add this as well. When I purchased my phone a young girl at the phone desk helped me do a transfer. She wanted to do it a certain way so all of my pictures will remain in my folders. So we did it and it got messed up. Nobody knew how to fix it. I went to my provider and they said what I was told was all wrong. They wiped my phone and did it again and it works perfectly. I wasn't going to say anything but now this is two strikes.

This review is contingent on shopping for a laptop and on getting Neal in laptops to help you. Other than Neal, the store is super used-car-buy-here-pay-here vibes. Neal is an actual person-- a helpful and knowledgeable person.

Never really had any issue with Best Buy.If you've been in one, you already know what this one looks like. It was well stocked, clean, and quiet. I walked around a bit, and several employees did ask if I needed any help.Just bought some Tiles for my keychain. Only weird thing about this store is that the registers up front are not occupied. The checkout is at customer service by returns. It's awkward to find the line entrance with the fixture they have acting as a partition. Maybe it's the time of day that dictates registers being open?

We bought a Bosch dishwasher at Best Buy 8 months ago. After 2 weeks it stopped working. We called Best Buy and were told there was nothing they could do and we had to call Bosch because it had been more than 10 days. Bosch has still not replaced our broken unit so we are basically out $1,700.00. I do not recommend buying an appliance from Best Buy. If it malfunctions, you are on your own. Going forward we will purchase all of our appliances from ABT. We bought an oven from ABT 10 years ago, it stopped working a few weeks ago and they came out right away and fixed it. Unlike Best Buy which would not help after 10 days.

Without exception the worst customer service I've ever experienced. We are now on attempted delivery number 4 for our appliances. Have repeatedly been told they are coming and have actually had delivery people call to say they are twenty minutes away that never come. Just spoke to our salesperson Shane Mahon who glibly stated "looks like it is going to be handled" on our fourth future appointment when I informed him we will have taken four days off and emptied our fridge/cabinets waiting for hours for deliveries that never came. There are so many appliance stores out there do yourself a huge favor and do not use this one. Dear Lord. Awful. Spent countless hours with both best buy and their delivery service to no avail.

I have now been into this location twice recently. Both times there are multiple associated walking around doing absolutely nothin or playing on their phones. They literally see you needing help and don't do anything. The first time we Were in for a laptop for my boyfriends dad. We were in the laptop area for 10-15 minutes and not a single person came over to ask if we need help. This week we went in as I got a new work laptop and need to get an adapter to hook to my second screen. I was literally sitting on the floor with my laptop and a bunch of cords trying to figure out what adapter I needed for a good 10 minutes. Not a single employee came over and asked if I needed assistance. When we left they had no registers open and there were three guys standing at the front chatting and doing nothing. Do yourself a favor and go to Micro Center on Ogden or just order online because you won't get any help or customer service at this Best Buy.

Minimal staff. Minimal stock. A real disappointment. Shopping carts are lousy. By far this is probably one of the worst locations I have been at and I'm a loyal Best Buy customer. Recommend finding a different location to shop at.

Came to best buy in woodridge il.. Jackie was so helpless. We stood for 5 mins waiting for any of the 4 other employees, including Jackie, to help us until so we finally had to go ask them if they were going to help us. She was so clueless. She didn't know if the tablet I wanted was in stock, she didn't offer options,colors, gigs. After I told her what I wanted went back to the other 2 or 3 employees to continue to talk then she went to get the item I wanted. There were no other customers in the section we were shopping and there were 3 or 4 of best buy employees standing around. Bad experience Bad customers service Even Matt the supervisor when we told him about the situation he could not even offer a proper apology or explanation for their lack of customer service. We will never go back. Amazon will be our go to now

The fact that I went there and was with my boyfriend and they told me they couldn't fix my screen because of a microscopic hole in the side of the phone and the rest was just cracked but then went somewhere else and no question asked was fixed easy (not from this location)a different place fixed my screen after this store said they could not !! Very unreliable and rude lazy and should work harder on things (do not go here ) they will rip you off !! Save your time (geek squad is the useless helpers )

I bought The Frame TV from Best Buy before Christmas. After three attempts by their 3rd party Vendors to install this TV properly it still does not work nor is it installed on the wall in the location we have requested. We have spoke to Corporate who assured us that all would be taken care of to our satisfaction, only to get the run around from the installer they sent and he refused to come to our house unless we paid him. I've been in the Downers Grove store five times to resolve this issue. They made me pay for extra TV wiring which I did not need and had to return. Each department says they don't handle my issue, and then sends me to another department. I'm dizzy from going around in circles. Nobody knows what they are doing and each department doesn't care one iota to resolve this matter. I will NEVER EVER buy anything from Best Buy.
