We couldn’t have been happier with our experience shopping at Penny Mustard in Lombard IL. We’ve been looking for quite some time for the perfect bed and side tables. Every time we found something we liked well enough, it never was “perfect”. There was always a feature we wished we could change. We stopped in Penny Mustard and Pete approached us. After speaking with him, he informed us that most of the features on the bed frames could be changed to our liking. So the low-profile footboard suddenly became a reality. We could get the type of wood we wanted, stain, and any hardware of our choosing. What? I’ve been to many furniture stores and this is the first I’ve heard of it. Further, we have a tempurpedic mattress and don’t want regular box springs anymore. Pete told us about their solution to that (essentially ultra thin “box springs”) that would serve the purpose without the added height. The prices were more than fair, considering we’re getting something so customized. And a HUGE thank you to Pete. He was super helpful and knowledgeable and we 100% wouldn’t have placed the order without the helpful info he provided. He wasn’t at all pushy and was so positive. I look forward to working again with Pete when we return to buy our family room furniture!

Shopping all the way through sitting, we are pleased with our Penny Mustard purchase. The sales person at Downers Grove answered all of our questions (the ones he hadn’t already anticipated). One of the delivery people remembered that he had delivered a purchase we made three years ago! And the disposal company we were put in touch with were more than satisfactory. We’ll be back.

I want to express my sincere gratitude for the most pleasant shopping experience I recently had at the Downers Grove IL location. It was the first time I ever visited a Penny Mustard and I’m sure glad I decided to stop in! Not only are your many furnishing selections quite lovely, I was very impressed with the quality. What was most impressive to me was Sabrina, the amazing sales associate I had the good fortune of working with. She was hands down the most helpful and personable sales person I’ve ever dealt with. She was very attentive, yet not at all pushy. She immediately made me feel very comfortable, which I appreciated because I had a number of pieces to consider. She made the long decision making process a fun experience.The powers that be at Penny Mustard should take note that Sabrina most definitely deserves a generous bonus for her excellent representation of your company! She is truly a valuable asset and should be recognized and rewarded as such.

High end, custom furniture options. Very good quality and high customer service. Be prepared to pay around 5K for a leather custom sectional… it’s reasonable with the market and tons of different leathers and fabrics

The experience is unparalleled!!! Shopping for a couch was painful and exhausting... Until I found Penny Mustard. First, they have an excellent and easy-to-understand demonstration as to why their furniture feels incomparably more high quality than other big name stores. Secondly, the sales people genuinely care about your "dream" piece of furniture; I never felt like I was being pushed for the sake of a commission. Finally, the ability to customize the piece made me feel like a million bucks- but at an extremely affordable price. The long lead time to receive my custom couch was more than worth it. And I took advantage of one of their many 0% interest specials, which made the affordability a no-brainer.Penny Mustard did an excellent job rectifying my less-than-perfect delivery experience. There were two delivery men, one of which I could tell was inexperienced. He scuffed up my walls and was rudely huffing and puffing the whole time. I could hear the second delivery person trying to coach the first but, frustratingly, to no avail. I contacted Penny Mustard afterward to describe my experience and they understood right away. I received a quote from a handyman to repair the damaged walls, sent the quote to Penny Mustard, and was promptly reimbursed.The quality of the furniture, enthusiasm of the sales people, reasonable pricing, and customer service experience is like no other!

We are moving to a new home and wanted new bedroom furniture. We heard that the furniture at Penny Mustard is Made in America so we decided to visit the DownersGrove store. Pete Hayman explained everything we needed to know about the quality of Penny Mustard furniture and answered all our questions. There is no pressure to buy at Penny Mustard, just good, honest, knowledgeable sales people. We look forward to the delivery of our new furniture and highly recommend Penny Mustard and Pete Hayman.

I went to Penny Mustard in Downers Grove for the first time and it was such a pleasant experience thanks to Pete. He was patient, informative, and so helpful. He gave us time alone to choose the fabric and would check in on us and offer excellent suggestions. His expertise on matching colors and fabric along with explaining the construction of the sofa I was considering made me feel excited about my purchase. I needed some information which Pete said “he would check it out for me”. By the time I got home, I had an email from Pete with the information and a picture. He went that extra mile to get me what I needed in a timely manner. Pete was professional, personable and just a great guy! I would highly recommend Pete to assist you on your shopping journey....

Went to the Downers Grove store yesterday. First time at Penny Mustard. Very impressive selection, style and quality. The sales team couldn't have been more helpful. We ended up placing an order. The only downside is the time of delivery. While leaving the store my wife and I each commented on what a great shopping experience it was.

We purchased a bedroom set. The lead time for manufacturing was long, but we were willing to wait. The delivery date was earlier than expected by 1 month. Total pleased with the furniture quality and delivery people. Our sales consultant, Taraneh, was the best. Very helpful, patient, and kept us updated. Would definitely shop there again.
