This is a fashionable clinic, but if you want a quality, trustworthy vet, go somewhere else. We were told to give our dog antibiotics once/day for 14 days and were given 7 days worth of pills. The clinic is clearly in it to get every cent they can out off clients, even to the extent that they cause harm to pets. Review and update below.*Outrageously* expensive. My dog has a minor infection on her elbow (old girl with calloused pads). The vet spent a minute with me, gave her amox-clav tablets, and I got a $400 bill. People who care about their pets shouldn't need to be independently wealthy to get them healthcare. I'm *horrified*. These people are just takers.Update: it's been 2 weeks and I've faithfuy given my dog the antibiotics she was prescribed. Her elbow has improved marginally, but pockets of pus have been developing. I got a second opinion from a small-town vet who was shocked that Dundee Animal Hospital had neglected to treat my dog appropriately. This clinic treats spoiled pet owners, not animals.

My dog was very sick and went to their emergency care on a Sunday without an appointment. My pet received excellent treatment. This was my first time visiting this practice. Unfortunately my pet had to be put down. The staff could not have been more supportive and compassionate. Meaghan the vet tech was incredible. If you are looking for a place that cares for you and your pet, this is it.

I would strongly advise against recommending this place to anyone who loves their pet. I made the mistake of bringing my dog here on January 5th, and it resulted in immense pain and suffering for her, leading us to make the heartbreaking decision to put her down. The vet wasted no time in charging us a staggering $825.75. While I understand the need for payment, what infuriated me was their lack of professionalism and compassion when it came to dealing with our deceased pet. This was my first experience saying goodbye to my dog, and the veterinary clinic did not offer any options for keepsakes such as fur or paw prints. During such a challenging time, when the client's mind is filled with an overwhelming mix of emotions, the least they could have done is provide these small gestures of comfort and remembrance.Upon returning home, I requested my dog's paw prints from the clinic. The receptionist casually mentioned, "Nala, the German shepherd that came in today? Yes, the doctor assumed you would want some, so we made three copies for you."However, when I went to collect my dog's ashes, there were no copies of her paw prints. I immediately contacted the veterinary clinic, and they claimed there had been a miscommunication. Apparently, they had obtained paw prints for a different Nala, assuming the other family wanted them. They failed to confirm or clarify whether they were speaking to the right family. And the fact that they believed they could dismiss the emotional distress they caused by offering a simple apology for a "miscommunication" is unacceptable.I will never comprehend the level of unprofessionalism and disrespect displayed by the staff at this veterinary clinic. I will never recommend anyone trust them with the well-being and care of their beloved petsMoreover, due to their lack of empathy and disregard for emotional sensitivity, I even question whether the ashes I received are truly those of my dog. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't care whose ashes they are providing.

Dundee Animal Hospital took great care of my old man when he had and emergency and had to stay over night. I was so worried and they even sent me videos of him which helped me. Dr. Allison was caring, but also helped me understand in simple terms my best options for him. She and the staff were great and I could tell they really cared about my boy. He unfortunately didn't make it, but it gave me a sigh of relief to know that both myself and the vet team did the best we could for him. If you're ever in an emergency situation with your pet I recommend Dundee.

My dog, Toby, is quite challenging and fearful at vet visits. Despite not having a scheduled appointment, they promptly attended to us. Dr. Melissa and the staff showed remarkable patience, avoiding any stressful situations for Toby, ensuring the safety of all involved. Once back home and calm, I could effectively use the prescribed medicine to treat and clean his infected ear.

Horrible. No answers for our cat and charged over $900. Crystal Lake Animal diagnosed our cat in 15 minutes.

My family has always taken our dogs to Dundee. The staff here is so amazing they really show that they care about your pet. Unfortunately we had to put our dog down almost two years ago and that was the hardest thing I have ever had to go through. The staff were so loving towards my dog and my family. I remember petting my dog and a nurse came in and was rubbing my back telling me that it was going to be okay I never looked at her face because I wanted to hide my tears but I realized she was crying with me. Some of the nurses remembered my dog and came in and said their own goodbyes. A couple days after we put our dog down the hospital sent a letter to us. Saying how sorry they were and so much more. It was really such an amazing thing I don't know any animal hospitals that do things like this. I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else.

So thankful I found Dundee Animal Hospital! I can’t recommend them and their staff enough! My dog suffered a very large wound getting caught on our gate latch and after calling three different hospitals, and being told, they can’t help because “they close soon” I was really worried about getting him in to see someone right away. As soon as I called Dundee animal hospital, their staff was friendly and helpful and he was able to get in very quickly despite them being very busy at that time. They checked him out right away and got him into surgery ASAP. Dr. Gurevich was so friendly and explained everything to us. He was even the one to call and let us know. Surgery went well. Thank you!

Our 3 year old GSP was diagnosed with epilepsy last year. This evening she was unable to come out of a seizure. We raced her to Dundee Animal Hospital. From the moment we walked in the door, they were all so compassionate and knowledgeable! Dr. Cacioppo was phenomenal with our her! Thank you Dundee Animal Hospital! Highly recommend!

I really wanted to thank Dr. Kindra and Nurse Carrie for being there for me when I had to make a difficult decision to put down my best friend Gypsy after she suddenly became extremly ill. I'm from Illinois but currently living in Canada and I was visiting family, so I was scared about my girl's declining health and not having my primary Vet in the area. They were so kind and caring and helped me feel like I was in a safe environment. I felt that they really cared about Gypsy's well being and they talked to her and she was given lots of pets and love. They were patient with me while I spent sometime talking to her before I said my final goodbye. Carrie brought me a beautiful paw impression after Gypsy was gone.Gypsy was my world and I was thankful to be in the presence of such wonderful doctors and nurses.

Dundee Animal used to be a wonderful facility, but has turned into a cold, corporate business that’s only concern is money. Heed the warning in the other review about same day scheduling: you WILL get an additional fee and I was not informed of this either. If you must use their services, DO NOT see Allison Mulherin. She was rude, condescending, and dismissive of my concerns for my pet. I heard her discussing with the techs in the back before she came into the exam room and she was already speaking unkindly about my pet’s situation and had made up her mind that my concern was irrelevant due to my pet’s other health concerns. When explaining why I wanted to have a procedure done to make my pet more comfortable, she shortly responded, “Euthanasia would be better than putting her through a PAINFUL surgery.” To be clear, I understand euthanasia is an option and am willing to consider it, but the cruel way she shamed me for my interest in a different procedure was appalling and will not soon be forgotten. I have worked in the animal care field and healthcare field and have never experienced someone so unkind. My family has brought over 12 different animals to Dundee in the past 20 years and I will be making sure we no longer use their services. I recommend Red Barn vet as they are compassionate and their prices are much more reasonable.I repeat, DO NOT see Allison Mulherin unless you want to be shamed for trying to help your pet.

Person who answers the phone is rude and Inconsiderate. I tried to call for emergency and it was like I was wasting the ladies time on the phone. A little compassion for people who are freaked out with a sick pet looking for help would go a long way. And this was the 2nd time had this problem with this animal Hospital. I would not take any of my pets here if it was the last place around after the phone experience I had . The vets may be good but I wouldn't no that. I didn't get that far.

This is my first time visit an animal hospital in my life, without any experience. My puppy does not need Same Day/urgent medical exam, when I call the office, I just want to make a regular appointment for any time of the week, but they put me that way without let me know the price will be much higher! I feel been robbed.
